I find that the transmission does not engage on my car #22 under hard downshifts even though the rpms would be well below the red line on the gear i am downshifting to. It also jerks extremely hard if i do manage to engage 2nd or 3rd in a downshift. Another way to explain the lack of engagement, when braking after the longest straightaway i drop down to 2nd from 6th pretty quickly, when i get to 2nd the engine does not engage and help slow the car, when i hit the gas it reengages. You can hear it happening in replays. The engine drops to idle.
Is this a game bug or is it a known "your setup needs work" issue? When playing around with the Ferrari 512s transmission in the 70s sports car series I had the same thing happen. I was able to eliminate it there by swapping to a higher final gear.
Thanks in advance

The williams did not do it nor did the Ferrari.
I have no upgrades on my transmission. I have been searching google for this. I do not think i have "blip" or the throttle cut on upshifts active along with auto clutch, could that be part of the problem?
Edit - Google searches lead me to believe i may need to tweak my coast setting up on the differential.

Yes the Williams has a semi automatic gearbox that enables autolift and autoblip (no need to lift the throttle during upshifts, and no need to blip the throttle during downshifts) but the other cars don't have that, so you need to do it yourself

This might also explain why I blew my engine 3 times when running offline with failures set at 5x
Ok...time to dance on the throttle.
