I'm working, along with the 1958 refinements, on a 1951 "Club 500 - Formula 3" mod: it all started with L' Amicale DB (A French DB Panhard historic car club) helping me with the DB 500 Racer 3D model for the price of writing an article for their magazine about the recreation of historic cars for simulators.
Then it got a bit... bigger: Effyhs, Coopers, Emerysons... these little beasts can do 160 km/h tops, but they do pack quite the punch :D

Plus, now I get to be quoted on a nation-wide magazine. In France, but still it should be worth something...  lol!

Big-ass image incoming!:

I took a training course in Alias Speedform the past two weeks. It is a polygonal modeling program that can produce very nice global surfaces in a fraction of the time it would take in Alias Autostudio (the vector-based program I used for USAC 73 and 74). For my final class project I modeled a Jaguar XJR 15. Point being that the next mod I build I will definitely start in Speedform, because it really does live up to it's name Smile

Now if only I had something even close to that for my 1982 project. I'm scared it'll end up on the sidelines and it'd end up dying again. I've tried very hard to create some sort of stuff in ZModeler but nothing really ends up looking good-ish. Sad

Nothing that really turned out..finished?

As I stated on my working thread, I've tried to create a simpler-ish thing by looking at the Auto-Union streamliners but well, either the patience or the talent is lacking. Or both. Plus, I'm going through some stuff personally, so the modding stuff has sort of stepped aside. I think I may have my streamliner ZModeler project file somewhere..

Good question. I would have to load up the model and count them; or output an OBJ and count them in 3DSMax.
