| 24 Hours of Daytona 1991 The NR2003 gang of HSO, running the fabulous GTP sportscars mod, will give all HSO members the opportunity to participate in our first ever 24-Hour event ! Our 2010 GTP series emulates the 1991 IMSA GTP Championsip, one of the last competitive years in what used to be America's premier road racing series. Part of the 14-race schedule are the two great American enduro classics : the 12 Hours of Sebring and 24 Hours of Daytona. The Daytona 24 will open the GTP season on February 6 and all HSO members are very much welcome to the event. Altough second in prestige to Sebring, the Daytona classic was one of motor racing's toughest races, and offered some of the most dramatic finishes in Endurance racing history. The experience is equally rewarding in simracing, an adventure you only get to live once or twice per year at best. So come join us in Daytona and Sebring, wether you already are a GTP fan or if you want to get a taste of the best simracing sports-prototypes available to this day. All details on the forum. | Looks and sounds great, will think about this one. Only gripe is the lack of day-night changes in NR2003. | |

Yeah that's the main issue we have with 24hrs on GTP... Many attempts have been made to fix it, but none ever proved really satisfactory. However I can tell you from my personal experience, having run three 24hrs races on this mod over the last few years, that it definitely isn't an issue when you're in the thick of things

| I just look out of my window..And my old eyes are so blurry at the end,I can't tell the difference-lol!Back in the day,you didn't even get any TV coverage at night..except for the pits...My Dad had an old house boat,we'd take out on the lake at night with ONE add on headlight from a 935...It would light the whole lake up! | |

| I kno it's hard to notice when you're in the thick of it...i just like the challenge of driving with headlights on in pitch black and if it's raining, oh boy it's my territory but either way, i'll decide to participate once i've tested for some "teams" and we'll see if by then Bud Light Jaguar still have room for me | |

| That is a great Idea to Kick off the GTP season! Good points all concerning day and night driving, Diffeinatly adds an edge to the race, Could it be changed after 12 hours during a driver change? Never thought of how that would be handled. I will check into attending this one but I may need alot of training in driver change over. | |

| This looks really interesting. I have driven GTP before and it's really cool but i'm not really familiar with driver changes. Could you explain that matter please | |

| You can consult the Driver changes/Disconnects (Endurance only) part of the rules !! Everything is explained there :

| So, I start the race, drive for two hours and then I come back to my pit slot and I disconnect. My team mate connects to server while the race is still on and he starts from the pit.
This is what I understood.

| Yeah you got that right. You can even drive for one, three or more hours, it doesn't mean a difference as long as you do the number of mandatory disconnections required. | |
