Automobilista Fun Night #1 [Wed 18th & Sat 21st]

Everyone ready for tonight's racing. Official Practice will begin in just over 1hr 30mins

i'll be down the pub then. i checked what day it is and everything

hoping i make saturday though. not sure about that still.

Official practice has begun, first race at VIR is in 20 mins 

Server is up for race 2 which begins in 10 mins.

Just a few questions though to improve the experience.

1: We can shorten the races to 20 mins.
2: We can add a mid race yellow, so that the field is bunched up again. This will stop people getting too spread out.
or 3: We can drop practice and have a qualifying session instead.

Please feel free to add an idea's you have about how we could have better racing.

P.S Don't suggest track or car changes   We will have another vote after this set of races has finished.

Make a setup available for the cars and tracks being used so that those who haven't had time to test have a good base setup.

I would, but i was using the default setup. 

Maybe David Jaques or Jukka could help you out.

default, only brake bias adjusted to the back slightly

I shortened the gears by one click, I wonder if that was causing my lack of straight line speed.

Bump, if there is no opinions then the format shall remain the same for Saturday.

20 min races would be better.

For tonight we are going to run shorter races and the practices will be made into Qualifying sessions.

So if we have time, we will also do Oulton Park, which tied with VIR for 3rd place in the vote.

Race 1 will start at 21:40 after F1 Qualifying.

installed, not set all yet but noticed in setup steering angle minimal value is aroun 550 but my wheeel is old momo only 270

Turn off auto rotation and you should be able to set it to what you want.

Anyone else have a weird issue when remapping buttons?

For example, I added a "look back" button in place of what was (by default) the temporary boost button. Now when I press "look back" it will look back, but I get a message saying the car doesn't feature push to pass.

Same with "look left/right"...remapped left and right on direction pad of wheel for those. Defaults for those buttons was lcd increase/decrease. I press the "look left" or "look right" button and it won't do it...it acts like it wants to, sort of jumps left/right but then goes back to center.

Some kind of button overmapping or something?

Shouldn't be on my end....working fine in rF with the same style mapping.
Not yet familiar with the AMS interface, perhaps I'm missing a setting or two?

It sounds like the button is mapped to both commands (Look back and Temp Boost) Just assign a new button to the temp boost and your problem will go.

Same for the other buttons. If you dont want those button maps, just assign them and press ESC i believe and it will make it so the command has no button assigned to it.

Go on "Test Day" after you have clicked on the Formula Vee icon, and then you will have more info on the car.

Server is up for race 2, Qualifying 2 is in 5 mins.

Server is up for race 3, qualifying 3 in 5 mins.

Great fun today at VIR but MY!, these little puddle-jumpers are a handful.  Devilish handling and grip akin to slicks in the rain.  How I managed to survive is quite beyond me!  

Thanks muchly for organizing.  I'll be keeping an eye on developments.
