- Yesterday I was going crazy training with Modena F1, turning 12 seconds slower than the best time, doing everything to improve the times, looking for hits right in hell.
I asked for a setup for Yves Placais who kindly gave me one and nothing! The times simply did not come, his arms were already aching with exertion. Now, I got the Beneton I used in the race of Mexico and with the same adjustments of my best lap with Modena, I came 5 seconds faster with only one lap. In a way, I'm relieved. The problem is not just my driving but yes, the car is very difficult to drive and it just does not go fast ... hehehe I'll test the Modena tonight and try to make a setup for you, Bruno. (but don't expect a miracle ! )

Alors : Hi, Phil !

| Ugh. Could have easily gone under 1:21 if my shifter didn't go "Nope" and stopped accepting 2nd gear. Great too that this was my last attempt. Could have gotten one or two positions more. Well, I hope Saturday will be better... | |

| Practiced with the 25 and not the 25B version of the AGS, the team decided they'd rather bask in the sunshine in Southern France instead of delivering the new machinery to the circuit Still managed a decent time but still lots and lots of time to find, as usual for me, in Qualifying trim... | |

| First, hope I didn't ruin someone's hot lap. I don't understand why some guys go so incredibly slow on the warm up lap. My first attempt I looked for a gap and proceded out to do my first stint, noticed a yellow car just in front of me so I continued afterall I'm in the Footwork. I always try to manage the gap to car behind so followed at about 80% (warm up lap) and about mid lap I darn near run into the back of the yellow carr. I didn't want to pass because we are both approaching our hotlaps and well I'm in the Footwork so I figure if I get in front he'll be trying to pass me on the hotlap so why bother. Next corner I'm making abrupt moves trying to avoid running into him and before I figure out where to go another car goes flying by. By this time I've spun lap and stint is shot. I don't get it. If your not ready to go out on track then don't. A couple laps offline in testing, get yourself ready. So again sorry if I got in that cars way. | |
