If I can not get the McLaren, I would be as happy with the Modena.
Timo Trust me, you would't. You're also kinda confusing one-off drives with the entry list I am not allowed to drive the McLaren anyway...

I am not allowed to drive the McLaren anyway... Trust me, I would. From the Rules-treat: 1) Any full-time drive that goes vacant will be offered on the forum to full season drivers that want to change their car, on a first come-first serve basis. Admins still reserve the right to refuse a car to a driver who is deemed to fast for it.
2) Should the drive still remain vacant 24 hours later, it will be offered to the waiting list drivers in order of who has the most one off starts.
3) The drive made free by the full season driver who changes his ride will go to procedure 1)Might be there is something fundamentally wrong with my comprehension of English, but the way I read the above in this particular case is: 1° The McLaren goes vacant and is thus offered to other full season drivers for the race. 2° If none of the other full-time drivers is interested, it goes to tier 1 waiting list wich, for the time being, is you. Then, it goes to tier 2-waiting list? I guess admins could refuse you the car because they deem you too fast. So I guess you deem that the admins will deem you too fast. The latter is no surprise, probably. Anyway, might also be that I fully misunderstand the rules. Which would not be a surprise neither. Timo

That's crystal Ludovic. But the seat becomes available for Magny-Cours. So, I guess, the one-off drive goes to the other drivers and then the waiting list? The idea of the waiting list being to have filled grids? Again, might be entirely misreading the Rules-treat... Timo

| One offs are first come - first served, the waiting list is for full time drives only. Just post in the French GP thread you want the car and an admin will confirm it's yours (or not). | |

Thanks for clearing that up Juha. So, if possible, I would like to drive the McLaren or the Modena, really do not care which one, as a one-off at Magny-Cours. Cheers, Timo

Get well soon! I hope it is nothing serious! Thanks Karel Don't really know if it is or not. I'm going to have a full check wednesday. Could be as basic as a recurrent goutte problem (easily treatable) to the start of a much dangerous kidney failure (not at all treatable but graft ). Cross fingers to hope it just the heavy goutte problem. As painful as it is when it occurs (pain in the right foot and the right hip so far) it's nothing compaired to a kidney failure. let's hope I could race at Norschleiffe as it"s my favourite track ever.

| @Timo: With the Modena, qualifying is a success. With the McLaren, not scoring points is a disappointment. Just wanted to present you the two extreme opposites of the scale Speaking of present: As I am going to compile my list once again, I'd love if people would confirm their presence or absence as soon as possible(well, those that haven't yet of course) | |

| Yesterday I was going crazy training with Modena F1, turning 12 seconds slower than the best time, doing everything to improve the times, looking for hits right in hell. I asked for a setup for Yves Placais who kindly gave me one and nothing! The times simply did not come, his arms were already aching with exertion. Now, I got the Beneton I used in the race of Mexico and with the same adjustments of my best lap with Modena, I came 5 seconds faster with only one lap. In a way, I'm relieved. The problem is not just my driving but yes, the car is very difficult to drive and it just does not go fast ... hehehe | |
