Round 1 - Lime Rock 200 [Feb 8]

Apres un bon départ mais avec pas mal de bouchons a l arriere je remonte petit à petit.

Vraiment pas facile de faire sa place avec ses grosses américaines.
Je suis remonté jusqu a la deuxième place de la catégorie et m approchais de Ricard en tête.. (Écart passe de 8 à 3 sec.) avant d heurter Patrick en perdition au milieu de la piste autour du 40e tour. Roue avant gauche arrachee et moteur casse.

Je me console avec le meilleur tour en course de la catégorie :-) 1'03"058

That was an awsome race and I had a great battle with Mick Chapman and another person in a red Alfa until the half way point. I was knackered, and would only have about three hours sleep before waking up again and I was beginning to mess up trying to figure out the pit strategy and fuel loads so esc'ed out on about lap 60.

But up to that stage it was great, many thanks for the racing guys and for hosting Frank.

I hope that the next one is as good and I reckon that one I will run the entirety.

Avec ce réglage, vous règlerez la quantité d'essence à ajouter au prochain pitstop et non la quantité d'essence qu'il y aura dans votre réservoir après ce pitstop. Ça parait plus logique.

With this setting, you will set the amount of fuel to add at your next pitstop, and not the total amount of fuel your fuel tank will contain after this pitstop. This is more logical in my opinion.

Il y a de fortes chances que ça vienne de ça en effet Greg

à peu près copier-coller de ta course.... sauf qu'une fois second de la catégorie, l'écart avec Ricard augmentait plutôt, et ce n'est pas Patrick, mais Vincent que je n'ai pu éviter : roue AVG presque arrachée, 3 tours perdus (à 4 tours de l'arrivée ), je finis avant-avant dernier. , mais je finis !

Vivement la prochaine ! c'est cool, ces longs runs (avec de belles bagarres avec Antoine, notamment!) !

Un circuit pour les TC2.
Respect les gars du TC1, une grosse séance de musculation de 132 tours….

Jamais participé à une course sur ce mod jusqu’à présent, sensation sympa et un semblant de grand prix legend entre les grands coups de volant et les deux pieds au fond lol.
Une qualif raté pour moi très loin de mon 58.851 de pré-qualif
Arrivé tard et un traffic de dingue durant la séance.

Quelques dépassement viril j’avoue, sans gravité heureusement durant la phase du début de course ou je remontais sur G. GOISSEN, désolé pour les quelques carrosseries redessinées au passage.
En tête au premier virage, trop optimiste, je jardine un peu et me retrouve 14ème.
Ensuite remontée à la deuxième place pèpère vers Grégoire , handicap de 10 secondes réduit tranquillement à 5 secondes et finalement première position.
Quelques doutes vers le 90 ème pensant que Mick CHAPMAN avait réussi à économiser les 10 % de carburant qui me faisait défaut. Et finalement non, il rentre lui aussi aux stands pour finir deuxième à deux tours.
Merci à Joël de m’avoir motivé pour rouler sur ce mod c’était excellent ça hurle et ça se tord dans tous les sens, et cette parabolique …. Quel pied !!!!!!


Content évidemment mais contient que la plupart des Aliens était sur le TC1:langue:
A priori les TC2 ne seront pas ridicules cette année sur l’ensemble du Championnat.
Félicitations à tous les participants et finisseurs.

I should also mention that the drivers of the small and faster TA2 cars did a great job in overtaking and understood perfectly when and how to do it (at least with me). It was a pleasure to take care of maneuvering to let them pass and seeing that they responded with good judgement, patience when needed and thanks whenever they had lights or horn to make a visible sign.

Bravo for you, as the race was hard enough

A really good evening with HSO friends

A circuit for the TA2.
Respect for the guys of the TA1, a big session of body-building of 132 laps

Never participated in a race on this mod until now, nice sensation and an appearance of Grand Prix  legend with  big knocks of steering wheel and two foot at the bottom.
A qualif failed for me very far from my 58.851 of pré-qualif
Arrived late and big traffic during the session.

Some virile overtaking I admit, without gravity fortunately during the phase of the beginning of race or I went back up on G. GOISSEN, apologizes for some cars redrawn in the passage.
In head in the first corner, too optimist, I garden a little and find me 14th.
Then gone back to the second place towards Grégoire, handicap of 10 seconds reduced quietly to 5 seconds and finally first position.

Some doubts towards 90 th thinking that Mick CHAPMAN had managed to save the 10 % of fuel who was lacking to me. And finally not, it returns too in stands to finish second at two laps.
Thanks to Joël to have motivated me to run on this mod it was excellent that roars and that twists itself in all directions, and this parabolic. Amazing !!!!!!

Satisfied obviously but contains that most of the Aliens were on the TA1
A priori the TA2 will not be ridiculous this year on the whole Championship.

Je connaissais le circuit, pas la voiture. J'arrive les mains dans les poches, et me ridiculise pendant les qualifs.
Du coup départ en dernière position, et quelques 100 tours pour voir comment fonctionne ce camion. J'ai même failli mettre le volant à l'horizontal, pour renforcer la sensation Saviem.
Au fur et à mesure, j'arrive à comprendre un peu comment ça conduit. J'ai aussi hésité plusieurs tours avant mon arrêt, pour savoir si je réparais ou pas, car je savais que les réparations coûtaient chères en temps sur ce mod. Finallepment j'ai pris option réparation et pause clope, pendant 198 sec, au 67ème tour.
Je finis middle grid, quasi un exploit au vue de l'affinité que j'ai avec cette voiture.

I agree to that. The length of the race is part of the fun IMO.

Started way back in the TA2-class. Last BMW, I think. With only some Alfa's behind.

Then set out for a long steady race with one stop at about 2/3rd of the race distance.

Didn't really have fights but that didn't mean the race was dull. As of lap 8th, one TA1 after another needed lapping.

4th place is in no way a reflection of my speed but mainly of the bad luck of other drivers. Looking forward to the next one already.

Last but not least: the trophy for fair play under blue flags should IMHO go to Cyril Derkir. The way he tried to make room at every time I came by, was fantastic .

BTW, Jef, nice pics. Can I use them for a more detailed race-report that I want to put on my blog?

ca faisait depuis 4 ans que j avais fait cette modif sur l ancien mod mais comme la il a fallu refaire une toute nouvelle installation , j ai completement zappé , voila ce que ca fait d arriver a l arrache sans préparation a une course

No you are not! Now I understand why despite having set the fuel correctly in my setup, I found myself with not enough to end the race and had to pit again, which destroyed my strategy

Course très très amusante, bien que frustrante...

Première allerte au 14ème tour, alors que je suis en 13ème position, les graphismes se mêlangent un peu mais je peux continuer... Puis, un écran noir sans arrêt du jeu et je me retrouve sur l'herbe avant la montée, voiture intacte et les problèmes de graphismes disparus, mais en 31ème position

Trop content de pouvoir continuer la course, je remonte peu à peu au classement avec de bonnes petites bagarres avec Antoine surtout et Yves qui sont assez rapides malgré le comportement de leurs monstres.
C'est d'un amusement extrème d'anticiper leurs glissades et de chercher les espaces où passer sans toucher...  

Je suis en 7ème position quand je m'arrête pour ravitailler au 68ème tour, je ressort 8ème et la ronde continue, jusqu'au 82ème tour où intervient la deuxième allerte... Définitive celle-là, écran noir, puis rebout immédiat de l'ordinateur...  
Dommage j'aurais bien continué à glisser dans les virages du Lime-Rock.

Bravo aux vainqueurs des deux catégories et aux podiums, aux participants (36 voitures c'est quand-même magnifique), et merci HSO

... Et ça n'a pas été facile. Ca avait pourtant bien commencé avec la pole en catégorie poids lourd. La course, par contre ... une sacrée épreuve. Jamais vu autant de drapeaux jaunes et de drapeaux bleus la plupart du temps, ils étaient superposés, le bleu sur le jaune, le jaune sur le bleu. Ma course se résume à une longue dégringolade dans le classement, la faute à un setup trop typé Qualif qui ne tenait pas plus de 25 tours; après c'était "Holyday on ice". La faute aussi à des réparations qui m'ont coûté 2 minutes d'arrêt inutile; ça parait une éternité.

Pour conclure, super content de faire partie des rescapés et super content de cette soirée HSO. Merci les gars <3.

PS : Désolé Yves, c'est pas de chance, si prés du but, après une course magnifique.

Was happy to start 3rd in qualifying considering how busy it was on track ..  

My race took a turn for the worse very early as i lost my ffb on the formation lap and my car was behaving very strange when
driving over the curbs it felt like the ffb was reversed so i had to deal with this for the whole race ..

The race started very well as Pascal dissapeared from view and i was gifted 2nd place for awhile
i managed to keep up with Greg for a few laps but he was too fast but as we caught and lapped the slower TA1 cars he just started to pull away ...
I Had a moment with Alessio in the early part of the race for which i must apologize we came upon a slower TA1 car we where 3 wide going into the 1st corner  and we touched in the braking zone i looked in the mirror and i lifted a little but Alessio had dissapeared ... Really sorry for this Alessio   .. I Was glad to see that you managed to continue ..

On Lap 23 i made a little mistake going up the hill , touched the barrier and lost a wheel/tyre i pitted straight away this ruined my stategy also so just guessed how much fuel i would need to get to the end of the race i dropped from
3rd to Last and 2/3 laps behind the nearest driver as with damage i had a 200 second pitstop ..

All i can say is what happened next was amazing i unlapped myself several times but it seemed to take an age to catch up to the slower TA2 cars but it was great fun had some crazy laps with Antione which included a little bit of rallycross i gained a place unfairly but i gave the place straight back again ...  

This was crazy fun in the Escort and i would like to Thank all the TA1 drivers for being very fair and helping me most of the time to make my job overtaking easier .. I Worked my way back up to 6th place after many laps and i thought that was where i was going to stay until the flag .. I see Brian Janik in the pits , so that was a nice gift to be back in the top 5 ,towards the end of the race i was really struggling with my tyres and fuel Brian was catching me i had to short shift towards the end as i thought i was going to run out of fuel , In the dieing laps of the race I had a nice little fight with Glen just for fun  
I Managed to do over 100 laps on my tyres which where pretty knackered toward the end of the race and i had just 2 L left in the tank so i was greatful to see the flag after this very long race ..

I Know i could have finished higher but i have to be happy with 5th considering the ffb issues and
the unscheduled pitstop and nearly running out of fuel ... Very Happy

Qualifying was as crazy as I've ever seen, I barely did a couple or three clean laps, eventually managed to get a good lap and keep pole position on the TA1 class until the very last moment, when Vincent pulled a great lap out of the bag.

The race start was quite messy as well, lost a couple places due to massive traffic jams  , and in a moment Vincent was way ahead, eventually I got rid of the traffic and after some laps pushing hard I caught him and overtook him for the lead in TA1. After that i don't really remember much, just lapping cars and being lapped countless times, I did my only pit stop on lap 65. Many of my closest rivals had problems, so I kept my lead driving steadily.
I remember Steve in the Javelin who I had just lapped, he was faster than me and we had some kind of weird fight, even if we where in different laps, eventually I let him go, as I was just driving the car home safely.
Didn't have any problems until the end and I finished first in TA1.

Congrats to all finishers and specially Pascal for his win. And thanks HSO for the org.

This will be my first full HSO championship hopefully, see you on the next round.

Ricard everytime i passed you i was getting blue flag so had to slow and let you pass again

Carl if you map a button to reset FFB you wont have that prob when it goes at start just hit button to reset

That is a huge problem with rfactor, it won't accept easily that someone unlaps himself unless you are really much more faster.
