- Which shifter style you guys are using ?
I had the #3, and I was overtaken left right and center in that long straight after Surtees corner, it seemed that my shifts were taking forever compared to the guys around.
Like Richard I had been using option 1 with removed grinding tranny. Then I looked into the files and saw that option 2 makes shift time even shorter (Probably a matter of how the plugin works) and adds no penalty, so I switched to it, but couldn't get any improvement or was even slower. My impression is that option 1 and 2 are supposed to be the same with #1 destined for those who want to use the plugin. But somehow if you consider how you lift and manually blip the throttle when downshifting, I think that option 2 makes rowing down the gears easier, so much so that whatever you could lose accelerating, you make up for when braking Option 3 and the rest will give you a penalty however, so it's no wonder that your car was slower. | |
