When i see the lap times in the fastest lap cahrt, i get goosebumps.

surely its my first try, but you are so fast.

how can you race 1:03 ?

What i found out was, that the tire preussre was too high, the center had 8C more than the in and outside.

can you tell me what is the best tire Tempreature?

the pressure front is down to 14x kPa already then the tire temps are quite equal. like 100 102 104.

i managed to adjust the camber, the pressure a bit. but what is the RIGHT pressure? so that you have the inside a bit hotter ?

i adjusted kingpin, springs and toe. but 50 minutes was not enough time for a very very new mod :D

haha.

so my time is over. now i want to see who wants to join me or if i should save my money.

btw my laptime was 1:05.2 all the time. with 51 liters of fuel in that lola car.

PS:
in the TEAM assignement thread i asked some questions because the post i made was for the team, but also mixed with questions, maybe you have a look at page 8

1:05 is a great time and 1:03 is incredible but its a 6 hour race so laptime is not that important :hello:

Being consistant is more important Wink

@Jean Luis and Jens:

We would sure be glad to race with any of you, but you can also consider forming a team yourselves. Whatever you prefer guys Smile Also, the race being so hard for us slower guys, I think that if you don't find a better ride, or if you simply prefer it, we could do a 4 men team and drive 1,5 hours stints each. I speak german so I can communicate well with Jens via Teamspeak when it's time to turn the car to the next driver :top:

Nice, sir Ibanez. From where are you ?

I recognize Ibanez as a mexican name (played Football manager in the past in mexico, Monterrey).

I really wonder how fast the cars are and what laptimes are possible with the lola t70 or what was the name and the faster cars.

what car is the 1.03 done with ? (no i wont take it because i know that i have to stick with my car).

i think it is forbidden to be more than 3 drivers.

do we share the same setup or can we use our own setup after a driver change ?

Ha ha, no not Mexican, but of course many people have similar family names in latinamerica for obvious reasons. Actually my full name is Alberto Manuel Ibáñez Bartual, and as it stands in in my profile, I'm from Valencia, Spain, though I have german ancestry via my mother's family. Ibañez and many other names ended in "ez" mean "son of", and as such my name would translate to german as "Hansen" and to english as "Johnson".

But never mind the genealogic thing lol! and to answer your questions:

I don't know what car the fastest lap was made with, but there are big differences between the ones available.

Uh, probably so, I have not re-read the rules. Embarassed

AFAIK the game supports setup change when teh drivers switches.

I'm afraid it doesn't - you have to share the same setup between the drivers of a same car.

I think I read somewhere it can actually be set by the server. For realism it shouldn't be allowed, of course.

PostSubject: Tires in 1970 mod   1970 Watkins Glen 6 Hours [05/02/2012] - Page 4 Icon_minitimeSat 21 Jan 2012 - 17:12

Hi guys,

i think it fits best in this forum/thread:

is it possible that there is a "bug" in the mod ?

I had had the standard setup and the inner temp of each tire was 7 C or so above the outsides.

when i realeased all pressure (works in any race sim) there was still +7C or so.

even if only 5, at minimum pressure there should never have been such a difference. i know taht rfactor can be modded with MANY parameters and maybe also with "tire convex-ness) to gain some physical / sim effects.

can you tell me if that is true and (if not or if yes) what shall be the ideal pressure hot. i had 100C after 3 laps or so maybe thats a good temperature (cause one cant go much slower).

of course you adjust the cold pressure to achieve the hot pressure. what temps does the rubber work best ?

Ok i have just done a one hour stint on the server and to my surprise it went fine, there was quite no tire degradation at all. thx for that.

now my teammates want to see if i am qualified to be a consistent racer. at when ychequered came up i wanted to save the latimes. all of them.

i neither found a button to save replay nor to save all the laps. any ideas?

right clicking my name in MONITOR gave me all my laptimes, but my spotter told me them anyways. but no way to save them.

Q: is there a autosave for replay so i would at least have gotten the replay Wink

thant wouldve been nice Wink

Usually replays get saved to the Replay Fridge, and if not, there should at least be your fastest lap. If not, there should be an autosave feature that you can select so that it will save the entire replay.
