================== As it looks like there are some people interested in testing oval racing with the CART mod, lets start a new topic here. So anybody interested please post here. I propose you to do this test this week, any day will be fine for me, expect sunday evening. I think friday evening would be ok, it gives us the time to set everything up, what do you think ? About the track, I think Milwaukee would be a good choice, its short and easy to master. But I think there're several version available, I dont know which one is the best. The goal will be to test rFactor's behaviour during yellow flag periods, so we'll need crashes and spins Common issues are penalties given for low speed behind the safety car or for not being behind the right car. I think several (2 or 3) 30 laps races would be enough to test everything. Those are only suggestions, everything is open for debate so if you have any ideas or questions (not everybody knows the standard procedure and strategy to apply when a yellow flag comes out), do not hesitate.

============== The blue flag rule in CART is a bit special, you'll get a blue flag when the leaders will be behind you but won't get penalized if you dont let them pass. So you're allowed to battle (well, not too hard) to stay in the lead lap. At least, that's how the mod is set, we'd have to check if its working properly while racing. | |

| I was racing in an Indy Car 08 league a year ago and oval races were pretty exciting. We should definitely give it a try.
I'm free every night except Saturday. | |
