Carl, do you loose your internet connection completely, or only your connection to the rFactor-server?
Over the summer I had a similar problem. I lost my internet-connection from time to time (at last every two or three days i needed to reset the cable-modem). In my case it was a defect cable-modem. After changing the cable-modem the problem was solved. Thx Thomas I had a new cable modem earlier on this year supplied by Virginmedia as i had a problem with the R45 cable keep coming loose into the old modem but im thinking it maybe worth me changing back to the old modem and see if i still get disconnected .... Im having a few connection problems but i can always get on the internet but i notice it more when im racing with RFactor Thx for the idea ... | |

| For my connections problems I have perhaps find the solution. It seems that I've to change my multiplayer parameters to 56Kmodem. I might loose connection during race because of threshold problem. rFactor is very touchy if the upload speed goes under the limit you set in options. If so it declares "connection lost" even if it's not true. Well I've still to try this solution in race though. | |

| I Have to say a Huge Thank You to Thomas who with a little help from the Google Gods has cured my connection problem ...... I like a few other people installed the simraceway.com client and uninstalled it immediatly as it basically took over my Rfactor i uninstalled it but it left a plugin in my plugins folder that got left behind ..... I Removed the SrwData dll and also the Client Telemetary dll files and managed to do 38 laps at Brands without Disconnection ........ So if you want to install simraceway.com i urge you to think twice ...... | |
