Prequalifying The fastest 8 cars of each class (=32 cars) plus the 8 following fastest cars regardless of class will be retained.

19:30 – Free Practice (30 minutes)
20:00 – Qualifying (60 minutes, unlimited number of laps)
21:00 – Race Start (32 laps)

A training server will run 24/7. It will use a static RealRoad setting, and can be accessed using the same password as for the race server : hsogs23.

Handicap System
The race will be run to the then popular Handicap formula.
Each of the four classes will start at intervals, with the 1,500cc cars starting first, followed by the 2,000cc ones, then the 3,000cc ones and finally the over 3,000cc ones.
The aim of the handicap system is to give each class a chance at winning overall.
The handicaps will be based on classes and not individual models.
Handicap times, i.e. the time intervals at which each class will be given the start on race day, will be announced on May 27th, one day before the race.
Starting Procedure
We are still exploring options as to how the start will proceed. Our preferred procedure means doing some modifications to the track, and we didn't have time to do that yet.
There is, exceptionally, a 3-week gap between Le Mans and Oulton Park, during which we will determine which method we will use for the start.

It is with regret that I will be without computer access over that weekend, therefore absent from the race. As long as it's still ok, I'd like to do some practice laps over the next 3 weeks though.

As a mid-season recruit to Gordini, the lads at the shop have been sent into a scramble to get the car around, alas it won't be ready to make the trip across the channel to Oulton Park. The top brass have extended me a worthy offer as an apology; tickets to Indy 500 over in the states to witness the spectacle of speedway racing. Bill Vukovich is a name I heard amongst the shop as one to watch; if all goes well with my visit, who's to say I can't whip up an entry next season? I'm sure the boys won't notice one of the grand prix cars missing

Unfortunately I will be out of the stage, it coincides with the 1986 F1 French GP. Despite having a fragile Arrows, my chances are better there than in Outon with the heavy Ferrari.

Cautiously confirm my presence. Indianapolis 500 should start at 18:30 CEST, so it might finish before HSO race at 21:00. I highly probably won't take part in qualifying, but I hope I'll be at the start.
