In the '60 Indy 500, he stalled twice during a pit stop and had to catch back up, putting more stress on his tyres. He and Rathmann were running closely and as Thompson started catching up started dicing again.

Thompson then dropped back with engine trouble and Ward noticed his front tyres started showing their threads so backed off and had to surrender the lead to Rathmann again and eventually finished 2nd in a race that he considered his best, even if he didn't win it.

That looks like JP's track converted to rF2 if I'm not mistaken, wonder if his 1960 version got converted too? Shame if not, IIRC was developed for this race at HSO back in 2009 and it would have been quite fitting to also have it now.

As for setups, try a few things. The Default is a good starting place. Your road course setup ideas may not be much help. These cars also have adjustments for things you may not be accustomed to. There's a lot of info out there. Very educational. As usual the biggest adjustments are to the nut behind the wheel.

I can't seem to access the hotlaps page. It just shows up as a blank white page with nothing there.

I can say beforehand I wont do the entire race- max 100 laps. My piss pot is simply not big enough .

But I would like to support this take no prisoners attitude when organizing a race here .

So I will be on the starting line....

You can make it to the bathroom and back. If my 51 year old bladder can do it yours can to. My cats know the pre signals. I start snapping my fingers right after I hit the pit stop call button. They clear the hallway! If a more solid delivery gets called for that is an extended pitstop and my race finish suffers.

The emergency gator aid bottle and/or towel work also! When I evacuated for Hurricane Ike the bottle got a lot of use.

A quick reminder that the race is not starting at the normal time. This is the schedule:

Sunday May 3rd (all times given are CET) :

19:00 - Free Practice - 30 minutes only
19:30 - Qualifying session (4 Laps - private - fastest time) 10 minutes maximum
19:40 - 19:45 Drivers' Briefing - Stay off track during the briefing!!
19:45 - Race Start (200 laps)

30 minutes of practice starting at the normal practice start time.
10 minute qual session to make your 4 laps. 1 out lap, 4 laps at speed then 1 in lap. Do not cross start/finish on your 6th lap or your times will be disqualified.
Do not enter the track during warm-up, there will be a short driver meeting and then we go directly to the race! No warmup. Get your race setup prepared before the race.
Then the marathon begins. Pre congrats to all that make 90% distance or more: aka the Iron Sim-butt Award.

I am not now sure if i can make the race as cant say if i will be home in time tio do Q and start of the race

Seems there is some sort of steam patch today. May want to log in a little early to make sure you get it all.

Edit: It was a track update for Zandavoort. If the initial message screen (big mostly blank text screen) stays up long like it did for me just hit the X to close it.
