Round 4 - Detroit [March 15th]

As I mentioned a few days ago I have a real life issue. My Mom passed away. She apparently did not suffer. I was expecting to be away for this week but everything is delayed due to the highly efficient and speedy Coroners of Mississippi (where my Mom lived.) Funeral costs are disgusting.

I may or may not race Sunday. I will practice some Saturday. If I can focus and also manage to not lose my temper and throw my G27 out my window I will race (until i slap the piss out of a wall.)

On a positive note, I committed to take care of my Mom’s cats if she ever passed away. I already had one of them as Mom could not handle 3. Now I have the other two (just got home with them) I have a total of 5. If I am not mistaken this makes me a crazy cat guy. First question on dating aps: “Are you allergic to cats?”

 je ne participerai pas à la course de dimanche soir à Détroit , la monoplace ATS est trop difficile sur le circuit et je n'ai pas réussi a sécurisé son comportement. Je m'excuse pour les autres pilotes et les organisateurs . Je vais m’entraîner dur sur Jarama et j'espère que je serai compétitif sinon je laisserai la monoplace à un autre pilote éventuel. merci pour votre compréhension.

Sorry to hear that Mike. My condolences also, a mother is such a special figure that touches you very deep. It's life and we must get used to it, but sometimes it's really hard.

Thank you to all of you. Her house is about a 7 hour drive one way so that was fun with 2 nervous cats!

It is not free. We don’t typically do one offs unless a huge amount of the field will be absent. I will likely ne there anyway.

For anyone looking to take a one-off run this time: Very sorry but no, this track is a nightmare and I already know the complaint list will be a mile long after the race. Unless you booked a car this week, no new drivers allowed.


That said, anyone reading this who will race, for the LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY GET THE $%%^ OUT OF THE WAY WHEN YOU SEE A BLUE FLAG. This means qualifying, practice, ANY TIME!!!

I will be getting lapped badly as I will be horribly slow (I think). I will be slowing on straights and letting my skirt get blown over my head as you speedsters pass. You other slow pokes need to do the same!

Edit: Just saw fast laps. OMG I am slow so far.

Note to those like me who already went through daylight savings, France has not. Quali will start an hour later than usual for those of us that have already gotten screwed out of our hour of sleep.
