| Round 4 - BRDC Sports Car Championship--> DOWNLOAD PHYSICS UPDATE <--=> TRACK DOWNLOAD <= => HOTLAPS <= Event Schedule (all times given are CET): Wednesday October 19th20:00 – Qualifying 20:50 – Warm-up and drivers’ briefing 21:00 – Race start (30 Laps) Server IP : 91.121.135.76:34400Race server password : hso89Starts will be given flying, after one formation lap. Race Start ProcedureOnce the green lights show, this will be the signal for the beginning of our formation lap, which drivers will cover at low speed (around 150 kph / 90 mph). Do not overtake, stay packed, no more than 2 or 3 car lengths between each car. Excessive zigzaging to warm up your tires is not allowed. After the last turn, cars will keep rolling at reduced speed in the starting grid formation, so remember your side of the grid. When the leading car will be in sight of the start/finish line, an admin will give the real start of the race by typing "GREEN FLAG" in the chat. Overtake before crossing the start/finish line is allowed. Before the green flag, drivers should remain in a grid formation, as shown below : Training ServerA training server running on the next scheduled track will be online permanently. Password : hso89Behaviour on trackA few behaviour rules : - as for all HSO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you. - Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only. - Drive Through : If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100km/h max (60mph). If he doesn't respect this, he will get a 30s penalty at the end of the race. - Shortcuts : If a driver gains a position after shortcutting a turn, he is required to give it back as soon as possible. In the case where a driver would not do it rapidly, a 30-second penalty will be added to his total race time. In the event of abusive and intentional shortcutting, severe sanctions will be applied (up to definitive a ban from the league). To make sure you never shortcut a turn, try to always keep two wheels on the track. - Respect the red light at the end of the pitlane. Application and Interpretation of the RegulationsThe admins alone are qualified to solve any problems raised by the application and the interpretation of the present regulations. ************************************************************ Thanks for pointing out your presence/absence in this thread. Was it a "Garage 56" entry by any chance? | |

| Found a little more info. Took part in the 1955 le mans race. Sports 750 class. Only managed 6 laps before having an accident and retiring.
Didnt Garage 56 start with the deltawing? Though there probably was a garage number 56 as 60 cars started the race that year.
Ive come across a can am car that used the same sort of layout too, but i cant remember the name.

| Garage 56 started a long time ago. The BRM Turbine car was one. Was known as the "00" garage back then though. But it is still the same thing, for "Experimental cars" | |

| Yeah, there has always been the one or other entry that's been granted a start outside the rules, though it wasn't as boldly named as the modern days 'Garage 56'.
But back in the 1950s, with less knowledge and much more bad ideas become racecar, there were many weird oddities on the racetracks. Fascinating era. Too bad so few mods from that era are around, not to mention good ones...

When the front runners lapped it for the first time, the speed difference litteraly blew the Nardo off the track! It was based on a land-speed record car (for small engines), but was very difficult to handle at Le Mans and had several spins in practice. Garage 56 started in 2012, but there have been many experimental cars and cars entered in classes in which they were the only entry in Le Mans history, but the Nardi was none of the like. After this Le Mans, Ufficine Nardi stopped making cars, and made fashion accessories for cars instead, like fancy steering wheels.

| interesting stuff i suppose the rules were a bit more open back then as to what you could do! as far as i'm aware the tarf speed/distance/time record cars were the inspiration. the canam car i mentioned was the adams escort, which used a similar idea. anyhow, sorry for derailing this thread further, i guess i have a thing for weird race cars | |
