After reviewing the replay of the Indianapolis 500, the admins have made the following decisions:

François Remmen will serve a one-race suspension in the USAC series for his incident involving Mike Becnel. Travelling backwards after hitting the wall in turn 4, he attempted a 180º to face forward again, despite rolling into visibly oncoming traffic, which led to Mike's collision and retirement. It is the driver's responsibility after an accident to either join safely the racing line again, or bring the car to a stop (If needed by the race settings) and hit ESC immediately if he poses a danger to the rest of drivers and a safe rejoin is too difficult. A repeat of this kind of incident will draw further disciplinary action from the league.

Jason Fitch receives a warning for not adhering to the ESC out rules upon retirement. His impact with the turn 4 wall caused engine failure and loss of a wheel, so he was obviously unable to continue. The rules stated that he should hit ESC immediately and leave the track, but he stayed on track for several seconds. A number of cars had to slow and swerve to avoid him, and it was very fortunate no one else was collected. A repeat of this kind of incident will draw further disciplinary action from the league.

Raul Jereb receives a warning for starting from the wrong row of the grid. His assigned place was the outside of row 6, instead he started from the outside of row 5, where Scott Urick was supposed to have started. This effectively gave him a two-place improvement before the start. The next 3-wide start is at Pocono, and Raul will be expected to hold his position regardless of what happens in the rows ahead. A repeat of this kind of incident will draw further disciplinary action from the league.
