Im fascinated.

Im a big DIY supporter/fan, but my area is musical instruments and DIY labels :rigol: , and I have a plan to make DIY racing cockpit, which was postponed, since I DIY-ed my new house. And it is not completely finished yet, and wives satisfactions comes first, right :hihi:

Your work looks amazing

Hardest part is drilling metal with precission, do you have tools or take it to a workshop for that?

whole pedal set except 3 smal parts made on lathe (pivots for push rods) was made on the floor of my kitchen with aku drill , dremel mikro drill and clasic home 220V drill in Drill Stand (hard metal profile parts)

holes in durral and alloy firstly with smaller diameter and then slowly with bigger (5mm then 6mm) I know that this is not ideal but in making stuff "on the fly" without plans need quick solution

First league race with them in brutal mod 1972 SCCA

and now it is bigger fun t drive this beast car after I accomodate little to hard brake pedal

I used the clutch too because upshifts in this mod are  more cleaner without overreving engine agains shifting only by throtle lifts

because i need new "RedBox" for connecting H shifter where is old electroic from gamepad with analog input with only 64 steps and little unstable,   i am making new electronics using arduino (leonardo) with MMJOY2 software. This solution have  posibilyty to use more analog axes (clutch , handbrake and many other for plane sims)  and many buttos,   at this time activated only 2 analog axes with 1024 steps   and 24 buttons

and today i made button box mainly for rfactor, now ot tomorow i'll conect it all together

mountet button panel to box and made all connections, i have 24 buttons And 2 axis now

weird thing is happening in RFactor when setting buttons to actions, when trying to assign button with one of higher numbers (dont know exactly , perhaps 20) to Request pit, the rFactor everytime crash, buttons with higher number is OK but for other funkctions in RF

Adding old info from other thread

@12.11.16

no more racing on uncomfortable green chair

Stage 1 of bettering "cocpit"

stage 2 will be some improvements in pedal axes (add bearings) instead clutch and gas pedal potentiometers there will be magnetic sensor and brake pedal will have adjustable stiffnes

stage 3 new H shifter

Stage 4  tripple screen

little of testing today

RF mod F1 1991 60FPS stable

VLN mod for endurance 30 AI on start OK but when there started crashes and many debris on track the FPS fall down

this is not configuration to race with, it is only technological test if my HW is capable of use tripplemonitor config

PC : GTX750Ti 2GB GDR5 (has 4 outputs with possibility run 3 monitors together), CPU Intel Core2 quad Q9400 @2,66GHz 6GB RAM
