Just wanted to jump back in here on this thread to say that, in viewing the replay caps, the camera POV's were stunning!  I've got 46 rF mods on my HD and none of them measure up to this.  I even briefly tried a lap at Indy just a moment ago to confirm that it's a mod thingie and not track specific.  It's mod specific.

I presume you did not install your 900HP race engine Jason? If you would have then you would have won the race...impossible to catch up on an oval with a weaker engine. :hum:

I only had 875HP for the race study

With all those yellow flags situations it's much better to use the strongest race engine you can get. You cannot even stay in the slipstream If you have 50HP less then the runners in front of you. My Foyt only had 800hp. You should come have a race with us at the CART 1998 series. We have an average of two-three drivers dying every weekend. Sometimes they even die several times lol!

Back in our GPL days we HSO founders used to run in the legendary (in the French GPL community at least Razz) GPL-Cups league which was a sort of inspiration for HSO as it was a "100%" league as we say in GPL vernacular : full distance, full damage and same rules and entry as the real 1967 F1 races. One year the league even had a medical commission in which the team-managers analysed the accidents that occured in each race and decided which injuries the drivers involved in those incidents "suffered" and if they would thus miss the next race(s) :D ! How hardcore is that, eh Cool ?! As far as I remember no one "died" despite the severity of some crashes :D. And of course it had the advantage of somehow calming down the more accident prone of the drivers due to the possible consequences of a crash :jp: 1973 Trentonian Split 300 [March 29th] - Page 6 1623587389 :rigol: !

That is pretty freaking sweet. I had never thought of that.

So sorry, your driver is dead. Our driver 3D printer and trainer has started the printing process. It will take 4 weeks. See you then. Note your right foot is being made 4 sizes smaller and your left 4 sizes bigger. Your "fear" lobe in your brain is being made extra sensitive. Take a hint.

It's easy to race in this CART championship. Before half distance, pit at every yellow flag to make sure you're dead last. And it'll allow you the time to accept the idea that it's a wasted hour of your life that you'll never have back.
By half distance, the banzai guys are out, and you barely see the Safety Car, you can enjoy your race.

In 1973 they had the stupid pacing lights system that was ineffective and everyone cheated on it, so we are not replicating that failure (We have enough with our own ones :rigol:)

The final rules will appear in the race thread, but we are for sure not replicating the pacing lights system (Impossible in rfactor) or using a human SC. Normally, we will go with local yellows unless we happen to find a better solution. That is what has been used here for all Indy 500 in the past, and it has worked so far quite well. Smile

In any case, come race with us in CART championship it really isn't as bad :hihi: I mean, yes there are some stupid incidents and some people getting optimistic in their moves, but overall the driving is clean and friendly. It's just that while we won't admit it, most of us are not talented enough to handle difficult cars like these. (There are two things no man will ever admit doing wrong, and one of them is driving a car :jp:).

+1 Jukka, and don't bother coming in CART then, because if you're annoyed in a 100 laps oval race with less than 20 cars, in a 200 laps oval race or 100 laps road race rage with 30 cars... let's say it's not pretty there.

Probably the only thing I more or less consider good from iracing (And even that is not really well done) is the safety rating. You crash, you get points substracted from your license. You get too many substracted, you are limited to lower license level races, or even lose the racing license altogether.
