1973 IMSA Road Atlanta 200 [December 1st]

Argghh game CTD'ed about 40 minutes or so. Was really conservative at the start and gave up a couple of posistions. Probably should have been more aggressive but I figured many would come back to me if I stayed consistent. Was doing just that and had almost caught up with Frank when the game crashed. Oh well maybe next time.

@Jens, look at the replay you were way away from me when you went off, I figured you thought I wasn't going to make the corner but I knew I could, I wasn't going to make contact with you, but I was trying to get by you there.

I sometimes made the guys do the incredible maneuvers and wondered how they managed! When I saw the car in the rear-view mirror, from the wild excitement trembled at the knees, dried mouth and I certainly had fun! While I can't handle it  ! Excitement destroys the last crumbs of my efforts!

Well, we will see a repeat!

Well this was another great event from HSO.
First of all, congrats Gregoire Goissen .. you allien

Sorry Marcello I couldn't brake hard enough 'cause I wasn't expecting you to brake for me to pass:| 
After all I've managed to have only 1 serious crash that made me went into pits.. I was trying to finish the race without stoping  
After all came 14th which was almost last   ... but I mean, I was with the little Alfa, It was painfull on the straights.. every single one of you passed me by like airplains. I think I have to be glad with the result, because I knew then if I could finish I would be in better position that I've started. So its a good outcome I think.

Du coup, je rate une course que j'aurais adoré faire jusqu'au bout. Bravo aux vainqueurs et à tous les finisseurs.

Et surtout bravo à HSO pour la superbe organisation. une quarantaine de pilotes venus du monde entier pour se tirer la bourre, moi, ça continue de me bluffer. Superbe réussite !.

OK race results are up on the site . Class display is not functionnal yet, due to database conflicts with previous Open events. I'll try and find a way around this shortly

Thanks all for coming, it was a great event last night    ! 37 drivers from 15 different countries <3  !

I can't be happy with my race result, but I had lots of fun during the first part of the race. Then I hit the pit wall coming out of the last turn around lap 45  and lost 3+ minutes in the pits so my race was pretty much run by then.

I must apologize to Nuno Borges whom I rear-ended coming out of the same last turn, as me and I forgot which GTU charger were lapping him. Sorry Nuno I think I really misjudged your move and my speed on this one   

Otherwise great laps with Jean-Louis, Vincent, Joel, and many others. Some great passing, as always very intense but always clean   !

I was sad to see my dear Philou retire so early, same for Honza my man, and for my BMW 2002 brother Chris Hamilton : he was inexorably catching me and I was looking forward to the scrap which was surely going to ensure but he got disco'ed just as he was going to catch my draft

Grats to all finishers  Greg intouchable, Martin my hero, and very happy for Gerard and Carl too   ! Good job Ricard too, class of the GTU field but had to fight for it early on with Joel and Vincent I think

Lors de ta précédente participation à une course HSO, après moult efforts de notre part et pas mal de patience nous t'avions prévenu que c'était la dernière fois que nous te laissions courir chez nous avec un nom de profil rFactor n'ayant pas de majuscules aux noms et prénoms.

Hier le travail en tant qu'admin ne nous a pas manqué donc nous n'avons rien dit sur le serveur, bien que tu sois à nouveau venu rouler avec nous avec un profil sans lettres majuscules.

Il n'y aura dorénavant plus de mansuétude de notre part. Environ 100% de nos nembres arrivent à mettre des majuscules à leur nom, il n'y a donc aucune raison pour que tu n'y arrives pas. Sauf présentation de ta part d'un certificat médical confirmant ton allergie aux lettres majuscules tu ne seras pas autorisé à rouler sur nos serveur à l'avenir.

Franck it would not be fair to accept your apologies as some are on my side too. I don't know what happened to the HistorX mod but every time i shifted the view would shutter and render it impossible to drive so i had to drive from outside (home key) and do it without rearview mirrors, i had to keep guessing where everybody was, so to let them pass, if i blocked anyone's line it was not on purpose.

Also i still don't know why but my pc started with a stupid annoying little habit, if rfactor is running and i am not doing anything it enters in a suspended mode which i cannot recover and i have to reboot. I was really enjoying the race when my wife entered and distracted me, i crashed and during the pitstop to repair the damage the pc kaput.

So... it was and enjoyable race with problems on my part. i was really hopping for a DNF a little further down the race...

Oh well, just have to keep practicing and wait for the next.

Tough break by the way Lan, forgot to mention that in my race report. I had a late race fatal over-revving last year in Adelaide with my 1991 AGS F1 - I know the feeling !

course sympa   vraiment cool de voir un plateau pareil , en kiff devant toutes ces caisses grosses ou petites cylindrées que j ai croisé c est a dire a peu pres tout le monde   avec a leurs volants des dejantés au taquet complet        

bel open de mon petit Ben chéri , j en redemande  (et on m interdit aucunes caisses     )


tres  bon comportement de la part de tout le monde pour ma part , j ai bien fait gaffe a ne brusquer personne donc ca devrait etre réciproque

Well I for one can try and remember not to do 4th gear --> 3rd gear instead of 4th gear --> 5th gear when charging up down Brabham Straight for instance
