Sadly it's disabled because Alpinas and Panteras tyres wear 2 times faster than Schnitzer and Porsches. Knowing that a tyre change cost around 1 minute, it wasn't fair to keep things like this.

A dimanche Wink

So do I. The Porsche has no advantage but a small wear of tyres. Without it it's a useless car and a trap to those who choosed it.

It will be more fair to remove engine breakdown as the Porsche seems to be the most fragile car (how could such a car win so many times Le Mans in its category then?). And it don't need another disadvantage.

The patch correcting the abberations of the mod will be the most welcomed as BSCC and ECGT showed many of them (as Mini using more fuel than Mustang for a race or wears of tyres sometimes odd between cars and so on)

The question is not that the Porsches have an advantage in tyre wear, or had in real life. The trick is that the tyre of wear of the Panteras and Alpina BMWs was incorrectly set by the modders. There should for instance not be such a huge difference between an Alpina and a Schnitzer BMW as they are pretty much the same cars. As for the Pantera, of course it was a tire-eater back in the days, but not to the scandalously x2 proportions compared to other cars as in the game. Maybe all this as to do with the fact the mod is based on an actual FIA Historic field (which I guess has a spec tire make) rather than on the period cars.

As Ludo says, the mod cries for a patch, as vital aspects such as tyre wear and fuel consumption need to be set straight - particularly for those of us interested in accurate historic simracing and medium/long races Smile .
