	Car 5.5 Cunningham-Chrysler C4-R Entries #1-2 Briggs Cunningham The Cunningham team used a variety of gearboxes on its C4-R spyders, as the big 5.5-litre V8s were a big strain on the transmission. To reflect this, the cars each have a different gearbox : #1 has the 4-speed SIATA one, while #2 is equipped with the 3-speed Cadillac one. Both cars have a reduced fuel capacity (from 227 to 190 litres) and are also tad lighter.
	Car 5.0 Ferrari 375 Plus Entries #5-6-7 Scuderia Ferrari The three 375 Plus cars are raced exclusively by the works Scuderia Ferrari team. They have had a little weight added to them but are still among the best cars of entire field.
	Car 4.5 Ferrari 375 MM Entries #3 Briggs Cunningham \| #40 Ecurie Rosier \| #45 Ecurie Francorchamps \| #47 NART \| #48-49 Scuderia Guastalla \| #56 Ecurie Yankee The customer version of the V12 Ferrari for private teams is the 375 MM model. Slightly less powerful than the works cars, it has lost a little weight compared to the base mod and is one of the best cars available, although a bit behind its big sister 375 Plus and the Jaguar D-type overall.
	Car 3.5 Jaguar D-type Entries #8-9-10 Jaguar Cars Although it gained 90 kg compared to the base mode, the D-type still benefits from a great power to weight ratio, and manages to challenge the 375 Plus as one of the best cars in the field. It obviously retained its disc brakes from the original version, while almost every other car in the field has drum brakes.
	Car 3.5 Jaguar C-type Entries #4 Briggs Cunningham \| #42-43-44 Ecurie Ecosse \| #46 Ecurie Francorchamps The older C-type is used by private Jaguar entrants. Less powerful than the D-types used by the works team, it has been given a boost in performance compared to its original mod version (as the C was still a quite competitive car in the right hands in real life) thanks to a 112 kg reduction in weight. Having been the first racing cars equipped with disc brakes in real life, the C-type obviously also has them in the mod.
	Car 3.3 Lancia D24 Entries #62-63-64 Scuderia Lancia The Lancia D24 is a new addition to the mod. In this first iteration it consists of an hybrid from basic components of the mod : the Ferrari 375 Plus chassis with modified Jaguar engine. Further modifications might be done on the car along the year to give it more specific characteristics and will be included in an eventual subsequent update of the mod. In the meantime the gorgeous Lancia already has performances comparable to its real life counter-part, with one of the best power to weight ratios in the field.
	Car 4.5 Lagonda DP115 Entries #14 David Brown Corporation The decent power output of the Lagonda’s V12 engine doesn’t really compensate for its weight, making the DP115 one of the most challenging cars of its class. The car did lose a little weight but did not lose its lively behaviour ! It also is the only model of car represented by a single entry, so definitely one for the Lagonda lover !
	Car 4.5 Talbot T26 GS Entries #11-12 Automobiles Talbot-Lago \| #41 Ecurie Rosier \| #45 Ecurie Côte-d’Azur The venerable Talbot is the oldest car in the field, with its roots tracing back to the Formule Sport days of the late 1930s. This reflects in the performance of the car which is no match for most of the more modern cars it is pitted against. It did benefit from a weight reduction of 65 kg, and is still one of the most forgiving cars in the field, making it an ideal choice for newcomers to the mod (not to mention Talbot lovers, obviously !).

	Car 3.0 Aston-Martin DB3S Entries #15-16-17 David Brown Corporation \| #52-53-54 Kangaroo Stable \| #58 Gilby Engineering The DB3S Astons will compete for 3-litre honours against the Gordinis and Mercedes, in one of the most competitive classes of the field. All DB3S entries in the field use the #22 version of the original mod, and remain largely unchanged from its base version.
	Car 3.0 Gordini T24S Entries #21-22 Equipe Gordini The 8-cylinder Gordinis are only fielded by the works team. The major change it sees is the use of a 5-speed gearbox as it had in real life. It is also the only car with the Jaguars fitted with disc brakes, as opposed to drum brakes for the rest of the cars.
	Car 2.5 Gordini T24S Entries #23 Equipe Gordini \| #50-51 Scuderia Italia Gordini \| #57 Ecurie Monte-Carlo The older 6-cylinder Gordinis are obviously less powerful than the works 8-cylinder cars, and are probably the most challenging cars of the 3-litre class. It did benefit from a notable reduction in weight of 100 kg though, and is thus not so outpaced by the other 3-litre cars as in the original version.
	Car 3.0 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Spyder Entries #18-19-20 Daimler-Benz AG The Mercedes is the car having seen the most modifications being brought to it, bringing the car to the real life specs of the 300 SL Spyder as seen in the 1952 Carrera Panamericana. Weighting at just 825 kg, it is now the class of the 3-litre field and a potential challenger for overall honours in the right hands.

	Car 2.0 Bristol 450 Entries #27-28-29 Bristol Aeroplane Company The Bristol remains largely unchanged from its original version, except for its greatly reduced fuel capacity : at 60 litres its fuel tank is the smallest of the entire field.
	Car 2.0 Frazer-Nash Le Mans CoupeEntries #30-31-32 Automobiles Frazer-Nash The Frazer-Nash was quite an outdated design, but was nevertheless always a grid filler of any decent sportscar race of the era. Its main disadvantage is in the top speed department, although it did receive a slight boost in this area. It is otherwise a very easy car to drive and ideal for beginners.

It is overall evenly matched with its class rival – the Porsche 550.

The Spotter's Guide has been updated graphically by the use of Aurélien Hamart's lovely pictures, instead of the previously featured sidepics created by an HSO admin who shall remane nameless (suffice to say his initials are F.V.) and whose Photoshop skills are subpar at best :hihi:

Aurélien's work will also be included in the next update of the mod for the in-game UI pictures and icons Cool

This update will also include several other graphical upgrades, some of which can already be seen in the present Guide, such as leather belts on the Jaguar C-types, different grills for some cars, colour markins for the Mercedes, etc.

The first post has been updated to show the new car specs since we switched to v1.50 for the 1955 series.

It also features the new models such as the Lancia D25 and OSCA 2000S.

We will try and update the images where needed if we find the time, same with the second post with individual descriptions of each model :hihi:
