The rules for A1 were more relaxed and allowed bigger engines and more turbo boost. Thus the M3 had the 2.5 engine with 60 HP more, and the Alfa got special parts (rear spoiler) and 70 HP more from extra turbo boost, both entering the class in which the Sierra RS500 had effectively been alone before. The championship was however tailored to the italian cars (Alfa) and the Sierra was restricted. At tracks like Monza or Enna, maybe Imola, the RS500 is still very competitive, but at small, twisty ones not much.

I aways like Sierra, this car is the best than Holden ( previous champ ATCC) in the holden i have difficulty to make a set. In Sierra i dont feels this difficulty. But I dont know my level compared with others. Toruring I have to learn more drive this type cars. I believe more practice supplied my defficience.
