| Thanks to admins for running Carb Day! Very educational to see how wing settings hold up while running against others for position...and to get some experience dodging the inevitable spinning cars and debris. | |

| Was hoping to make Carb day, but I had a 3 year old who is sick and we ended up taking her in to get checked.
Anyways, If anyone is not too secretive about it, what kind of times are guys running on full tanks and what are their wing settings?
Also, is there a TS server you guy use or will everything be done in game chat?

| I'm sorry to hear that, I hope she feels better soon.
We will have a TS server running for the benefit of pre-race organization and Paddock TV interviews. All race instruction to the drivers will be done via chat.
Proper wing settings on full tanks vary for the different chassis; I would ask a fellow Eagle-Offy runner.

| Jason I saw a range of low 47.xxx laps after tires warmed up all the way into the 49s. Wings? Well I think that is up to you. Add front wing...then add more Several people got a surprise in traffic. | |

| Just to reiterate for those who may have missed it...
Jean-Louis Petillot will likely not be starting today's 73 Indy 500. If that happens, we will allow one non qualifier to start 33rd. The first non qualifier on the server will be given that slot, provided Jean-Louis is absent.

Everyone behind his spot will move up one grid spot.

Everyone behind his spot will move up one grid spot. Aw crap, that's me from between a rock and a hard place to between two rocks. I am realy sorry to be asking this at such a late hour and expect no response ........ #1) On traveling down one of the long straight with a car catching behind, drafting, can the car ahead choose what line to take.....eg...move in good time and safely to the left forcing the other driver to pass on the right......(for position, not being lapped.) #2) I think Richard Coxon asked this in this thread, but don't real a response. At least two wheels to right of white or yellow line?, Or all four? I think Richard even asked if we could take all four wheels to the left of white/yellow line??

| To answer your questions Mick,
If you are being lapped on a long straight, it is not a good idea to move to the inside to make room, that could surprise the car doing the lapping. Rather, I would lift very slightly and allow the lapping car to pull out and pass on the inside with time to clear you before the next turn.
When exiting the pits, keep all 4 wheels under the painted lines until turn 2 exit.

| You can choose a line, but do it early and safely, no weaving or late direction changes whatsoever,
You can go below the yellow/white lines but do so at your peril, if you haven't practiced it, I wouldn't try it during the race as some cars become very unstable.

| I hope we can go 4 below the yellow line during the race. Mark Donohue and others did it in the real race. |
