PostSubject: For now   For now Icon_minitimeFri 4 Apr 2014 - 21:22

I've been thinkning about this a lot through the last weeks and came to a conclusion:

I've been  lacking the time and motivation for the past few races despite my late results; won a lot of races this year and so far my performance has been excepcional in my point of view but I don't feel like I'm achieving anything. The races have been a little boring so far (maybe due to the performance itself) and lately I only practice at race day, so I decided the following.

-I'll leave my Honda at the F1 65 championship for anyone who wants it ( anyways, I'll probably miss the race this Sunday, so the car would be free no matter what)
- My Sierra at the DTM championship is free too (the races takes a bit more than usual, so I don't have time for the 2nd one)
-My Pantera is free too because there are very long races and my endurance to do them alone is no longer as good as it was once  :D
- I'll keep my Swan Lager just to try to give Greg a hard time to win the champ  :hihi:
- I'll keep my Mustang too just to, if I win the championship, feel that I've acomplished something

Don't get me wrong, but since I've won the F5000 championship, I feel like winning more championships is more like a collection of something than an achievement itself. I won't leave HSO, just reducing my efforts at racing for now and put more attention to the "Factory" because I know I've been a complete "nothing" there lately.

Cheers  :top:

Sad to hear that, you will be missed in all those races  Sad

But good to have you back at the Factory, as we are going to need some good test drivers soon  :regl:

Well, this time it isn't for professional reasons... I'm really lacking the motivation here. Perharps I need less "efficient" cars and do some midfield battles. I really hate to be at the front.

For instance, let's take 2 of the last races I remember:

At east London with the F. Atlantic I lead the entire race with no pressure and won it. At Kyalami I put some pressure on Greg for the first 2 laps, then he went away and I spent and entire race at a lonely 2nd place.... boring

Again, don't get me wrong, it's not just the races. I don't practice at all atm  :smil20:

I understand you Tiago. Why don't you try endurance with a team? It's very fun and exiting. After a while, you will want to race alone again.

Bring back that Italian double account guy so someone can kick Tiago's ass! Or just shoot Gui in the ass with a happy "no more retirement" drugged dart and the problem is solved. :D

Much suck that you are backing out a bit Tiago. You are one of the best lappers (meaning those who have lapped me...sometimes multiple times) in the races I run.  :hihi: Fully undestood though. Hopefully you will learn you are an addict and need a bigger fix than you believe you need right now.  drunken

That's why I keep racing, I'm not planning in retiring for now, it's just that lately it has been consuming a lot of my time and I simply don't have it.

Just "revived" this topic to show you one of my "appearances" at the preparations for the Cup starting next thursday the 26th of June. I have a lot more but didn't want to invade the kids privacy, so this one is enough, specially since this one is a kind of "Cristiano Ronaldo" at his age  :D

Cheers  :hello:
