I miss shifted and crack'd the engine. Thats it. Race is over in the 4-th lap... In the race that i could win. 330P is mindblowingly FAST in goodwood. So much adrenaline through that twisty circuit. Big big big shame on me.  :papy:

The championship race was good although my gears were a bit too tall and the car bogged down a bit in fifth. I'd like to think I could've passed Alex otherwise but the truth is he had a very strong race in the Cortina Wink

The fun event, well, the atrocious handling and wonderfully shit brakes of the Uhlenhaut Mercedes, do the math :D

Guys I first small question organization! The race definitely had to be 20 laps, the race for the fans 10. Round 4 - BARC St Mary's Trophy [March 5th] - Page 3 1623587389
The race in 10 laps I obviously at a subconscious level failed to take seriously and so I won't turn on!:bangry:
Never do such small distances! :grrr: :hihi:

Thank you all for the wonderful company! :top:

Bit of a disappointment for me tonight  made an ok start but then got caught up with the quicker cars and think i hit an Alfa not sure which one but sorry for that after leaving the track and hitting the wall i ended up in last place  ....

I Finished 4th in class its a Shame as i know i could have at least got 2nd place Behind Sergio which could have given me another 4 points  Sad

Great time last night, Seemed ages ago I last raced, So much fun to be back.

Really enjoyed the last race (Fun race) and I hope there is possibly an open out there, but I think we should have just a narrower selection of cars, So rule out the 904,Tipo and the GT40 etc. And just use the cars like the E-types, TVR's and so on.

Thanks again though Frank, Another great night of racing.

Thanks guys for a great first race with HSO Smile Great to qualify 1st in class, that was a surprise. The race was interesting. I got collected on the grid by a reversing Mustang so started with a bent fender. At St Marys I went off on the grass. I didn't realize I had been tapped till I read Antoine's post and watched the replay. All good, only lost one spot. I went off once more on lap one. I was a bit nervous racing with you all for the first time Smile Great race with an Alfa from there. I could not shake him. Shame about the first lap otherwise I might have been able to get closer to Greg's BMW. 2nd in class was a good result for me Smile

Great fun though and can't wait for the next round. Sorry I couldn't stay for the fun race I had to get to work lol

Racing BEFORE going to work eh Alex? You must get up early down under! At least you're fully awake and full of adrenalin when you get to the day job Smile
Good fun race, and I have to say that racing in this league is somehow more like the "real thing" than some others, works well Frank - and I for one am quite happy with realistic short race distances. Mind you, I doubt I would have finished in one piece after a Mini being nailed at speed by a passing Big Banger as happened mid-race, had it been real life! Still, I was able to keep going, keep my place and pick up a point. Some small apology later would have been nice, though, whoever it was...
Won't be able to do the next round unfortunately due to other commitments but back after that.

Well, first of all, my apologies to everybody for chatting the race was over. I don't usually do this, but I was really concerned on how things went in my race. First of all, the starting grid, when I arrived at the S/F line through the left, I saw that my grid box was on the right and couldn't see a way to get there while David was screaming at me saying he had no reverse gear  Shocked . In panic, trying to find a gap to go to the right while reversing, I hit Alex's car (deepest apologies for that, it also isn't a thing I usually do).

Then the race itself: François started better than me, climbed to 1st, but I was able to easily keep on him. The problem began when his ping started to climb horrendously (was averaging 550-700 ms) and I was wondering how would I pass him with his car going all over the track.
I saw my opportunity when he went a bit wide in the right hander before St. Mary's, but when entering St. Mary's, his car was glitching and I could see him go through my car, then dissapearing for a tiny moment, and then, I was in 1st, but François was a bit in the grass, so I can't really tell if I overtook him cleanly or if I bumped him.

So again my apologies to all for the chat before the race end, to Alex for hitting him in the grid, and eventually to François if I bumped him when passing him.

Just an idea, but since some people have trouble getting to their grid spots at certain tracks, Maybe we could have a dummy grid of sorts and then when the pits close, We moved to the proper grid, obviously front row 1st and then 2nd etc.

Just an idea. Will possibly avoid any incidents.

Race results and championship standings updated on the site Wink. I forgot to mention last week that the Teams standings is now working, and it's a very close fight in this points race too Cool.

Apologies for the scandalous delay but I've been busy ^^

Oh and no qualifying export for this race for some reason  :hum: sorry  :smil20:

Yeah, the grid mix-up was weird! From my prime spot at the back, I kept seeing cars appearing from nowhere off to the side, as well as some invisible ones with just the name-tag showing (and the Cortina stuck in a gap just ahead). All very odd  :D

It's a good idea Richard, and in fact the vast majority of standing starts back in the day were given like that, particulary in F1. However I think it would only complicate the all procedure which is already demanding for our drivers :D !

I'm sure if we put our heads together (As a group) we could figure something out. But yes we can wait till we are all fully a customized to the new starting procedure.

Merci for the work of Organisation HSO, and Congratulate for all participants  cheers .
For me it was a quiet race, at the start I went out with great care, to avoid problems like the last race, I saw Carl had a touch with another car and started to pull him to distance max.
Then I went quietly to goal and I could so I subtract points for the championship to Carl.
Did you have bad luck and take me Carl  :drink:  .

See you the next race  :first: .

My only concern is to know which side is my spot, specially in these tight tracks, where all other cars are very close together

It seems however that rFactor always will place automatically a car exactly on its grid spot seconds before the start of the race if ever said car was ill placed. It was the case at Macau for Balazs and yesterday again with Mick and others I think. I'm not certain this works on all tracks though, only time will tell I guess :D .
