Historic GT & TC mod

We will use the the 1.95 version of the Historic GT&TC mod by the HistoriX mod team.

Car Selection

The field is divided in two displacement classes (GTO and GTU) featuring 14 different models of cars :

GTO (+2,500cc) : Porsche Carrera RSR (7 cars), Chevrolet Corvette (5 cars), Chevrolet Camaro (4 cars), Ford Mustang (2 cars), BMW CSL (2 cars), Ford Capri RS (2 cars), De Tomaso Pantera (2 cars), AMC Javelin (1 car).
GTU (2,500cc) : Porsche 911 ST 2.5 (8 cars), VW-Porsche 914/6 (4 cars), ALFA-Romeo 2000 GTam (5 cars), Ford Escort RS (3 cars), BMW 2002 (4 cars), Alpine-Renault A310 (1 car).

Event Schedule

Sunday December 1st

All times are CST (United States Central Standard Time)

18:00 – Qualifying
18:50 – Warm-up and drivers’ briefing
19:00 – Race start (40 laps)   <---  Note the change from 80 to 40

Race server password : hso73

Note, this Open event mirrors the HSO Open event at half length and will use the same server. The practice server will be offline while the HSO Open is occurring. This will be from 1PM to about 4:30PM CST. Note you may run both events but must reserve a car for each one seperately.

Rollings Start

The race will feature a rolling start.
Once everybody is on the grid and green lights have been shown, drivers will start a formation lap at low speed. Do not overtake, stay packed, no more than 2 or 3 car lengths between each car.
After the last turn, cars will keep rolling at reduced speed in the starting grid formation, so remember your side of the grid.
When the leading car will be in sight of the start/finish line, an admin will give the real start of the race by typing "GREEN FLAG" in the chat.

Overtake before crossing the start/finish line is not allowed.
Zigzaging to warm up your tires is not allowed.

Before the green flag, drivers should maintain a staggered formation, and not stay along side each others.





Behaviour on track

A few behaviour rules :

- as for all HSO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you.

- Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only.

- Drive Through : If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100km/h max (60mph). If he doesn't respect this, he will get a 30s penalty at the end of the race.

- Shortcuts : If a driver gains a position after shortcutting a turn, he is required to give it back as soon as possible. In the case where a driver would not do it rapidly, a 30-second penalty will be added to his total race time. In the event of abusive and intentional shortcutting, severe sanctions will be applied (up to definitive a ban from the league). To make sure you never shortcut a turn, try to always keep two wheels on the track.

- Warmup Lap: Stay behind the car in the grid in front of you. NO SWERVING TO HEAT UP TIRES. Contact with another car during the warmup lap is grounds for expulsion from further HSO Americas events.

- First Lap: Please be especially careful on lap 1 at the start of the race. Intentional initiation of contact with another driver (including bump draft/etc) will not be tolerated. Do not ruin your race and that of someone else on the first lap.

Application and Interpretation of the Regulations

The admins alone are qualified to solve any problems raised by the application and the interpretation of the present regulations.

Ca dépend, certains comme Mike ou Thomas souhaitent faire les deux courses

D'autant que la c'est la même course, mais l'année prochaine ce ne sera pas toujours le cas  

Yves are you running both races? I have reserved your BMW. No harm done if it is a mistake.

If you fall asleep at the wheel there is plenty of room to dodge you...you WILL make the highlight reel though!!

I have found that those red corner "trash cans" are not user friendly. Especially the one at the bottom of the long hill. I think I have bent my HSO event Escort in half twice and pushed the engine through my driver at least once.  

Thankfully my HSO-A Porsche stops on a dime, makes change and moves on

The technical name we have been using for them here for a long time is: "Red barrels of death" (No joke)  

Aptly and accurately named!!!  

Definitely present; just need to test some cars before I make a selection

C'est mon birthday le 1er décembre  ça tiendrait qu'à moi je ne le fêterais pas, mais bon..

J'ai bien envie de réserver la BM #58, mais au pire je prendrais ce qui restera en GTU si je suis certain d'être présent.

I reserved the cars asked for, if there is a time zone misunderstanding (as Martin suspects) no harm, I will remove the entries. Note there is an identical race at normal European time. This one is starting 7EST US time (6CST).
