I thought I had to let you guys know that I will be retiring from HSO, and probably from simracing altogether at the end of the year.

Simracing, and particulary HSO, have been taking a big part of my life for the past 5 years, 5 years of administrating series, helping members on the forum, maintening the website, launching servers, modding, and oh yeah racing a little as well.

I feel I have been sacrificing too much for too long, and it's time to quit now. I will stick around for sure, but racing, modding and doing the admin job, that'll be over. I can't just chose one of those 3 because I know I'd want to do the rest as well.

I am proud of what I did here, of what HSO has become, I had tons of fun racing and met some great people, so thanks to all our dedicated members  

I will let Frank Ben and Martin tell you what will happen next later.
Je pense que je me dois de vous annoncer que je vais me retirer de HSO et probablement du simracing entièrement à la fin de l'année.

Le simracing et particulièrement HSO ont pris une très grand partie de mon temps libre pendant ces 5 dernières années, 5 années à administrer des championnats, aider les membres, maintenir le site web, lancer les serveurs, modder, et ouais, rouler un peu aussi

Je pense avoir trop sacrifié pendant trop longtemps et c'est l'heure pour moi d'arrêter. Je serais toujours dans le coin, mais courir, modder et faire l'admin, c'est fini. Et je sais que ne pourrais pas en choisir juste un des 3 car je voudrais aussi faire le reste.

Je suis fier de ce que j'ai fait ici, de ce que HSO est devenu, j'ai pris mon pied en course et ai rencontré des gens géniaux, alors merci à tous nos membres dévoués

Je laisse à Frank Ben et Martin le soin de vous annoncer la suite des événements.

Effectivement tu peux être fier du bébé, il a bien grandi depuis son lancement et il a du te demander de gros sacrifices pour son administration.
Je te souhaite une bonne retraite tout en me disant qu'à ton âge un champion comme toi ne peut pas vraiment la prendre.
Tu as besoin d'une grosse pause, alors profites en bien mais essayes de revenir avant que moi je prenne la mienne pour de bon  

Et oui, on le sentait venir depuis quelques temps, ce départ !

Sur ce que représente HSO, et Guillaume à travers elle, Guillaume, je pourrai en écrire des pages... alors, je préfère juste dire : MERCI POUR TOUT !

C'est ma XJR-15 qui est triste depuis que je lui ai lu ton post. Je lui avait pourtant parler de tes douces mains qui viendraient se poser sur son volant, de tes caresses pédestres, sensuelles au possible, qui viendraient lui cajoler les pédales, du doigté de tes appels de phares aux lappés. Depuis elle pleure toutes les huiles de son corps.
J'espère tout de même qu'on restera en contact, sur vroc, où à l'occasion d'une petite visite sur le forum, voire d'une autre escapade par chez nous. Merci Gui pour tout ce que tu as fait pour HSO, de ton implication sans faille jusqu'aux leçons de pilotage que tu as aussi prodigué à pas mal d'entre nous. Et je rectifie, tu laisses le soin à Frank et Martin d'en dire plus pour la suite. 

On dirait presque des funérailles ce post. Si nous sommes réunis ici, en ce jour, c'est pour célébrer la mémoire d'un être disparu, trop tôt, du monde du sim-racing...etc...etc... 

It is difficult to express in few words the gratitude debt we all have with you for your big part in launching HSO and making it as good as it is now, and for having been a good friend, a fierce and clean rival on the track (Well not for me, but for all the other aliens:hihi: ) and a great all around guy.

Our consolation is knowing that you will still be around on the forum and we'll continue to enjoy your company at least in this big friends room that the forum is now.

I guess that aliens are not only aliens at simracing, so I know you will be a #1 in whatever enterprises you take on from now away from simracing. Best wishes of luck and enjoyment in them, and SALUTE

Many thanks for your effort with HSO, i think this is the best league out there by far  . It´s unique focus makes it really refreshing and enjoyable. Hope it keeps going for a long time.

Thank you Gui. Sometimes the more you do and the better you do the more of it you have to do. HSO is simply superb and I know you are a major reason for this. Thank you and I hope to be lapped by you often in the future.

That, and I'll add a few words. I definitely very impressed by the seriousness and rigor with which Guillaume approach to the administration. This I think is absolutely correct. It is important to what is happening on the portal was perceived seriously. Coming to the portal, people must understand here spend their time on lesson virtual Motorsport, and not just play games. I'm sure this concept and in the further development of the HSO.
I find it hard to imagine the circumstances that do not allow Guillaume, for example the evening weekend to spend in our wonderful company. Moreover, the approach rFactor2, which should open before us very interesting prospects. Sure historical cars on its base will not leave Guillaume indifferent.
Competent administration racing portal a very complex task and we know that Guillaume perfectly copes with it. For this we are very grateful. You Guillaume great pilot, do not rush to at least hang wheel on a nail.
I could say more, but not knowing the situation in which Guillaume takes this decision, may my words turn into nothing.
In any case let you Guillaume luck in cases that should take some of your time instead of HSO.

HSO gave me back the motivation for sim racing.

meme si certains d entres nous étaient deja au courant depuis quelques temps de cette triste nouvelle , ca fait quand meme toujours un choc de voir son officialisation dans la partie "paddock" du forum  
( peut etre du au mince espoir justement que cette officialisation n aie jamais lieu .... )

inutile de partir dans une tirade sans fin , je trouve que le post de mon pote Ben dit tout , meme sous sa plume humouristique que nous lui connaissons tous .


donc simplement MERCI pour tout ton travail , pour les bonnes arsouilles en piste , pour ton fairplay , en gros pour nous avoir permis de passer de si bons moments tous ensemble et aussi pour avoir su nous supporter ou devrais je dire me supporter pendant 3 ans   et ca ca vaut tous les titres HSO possible  

bonne chance a toi dans ta nouvelle vie et passe régulierement nous donner des nouvelles

comme Greg j’espérai que cela ne s’officialise pas, même si au fond de moi  je savais que ça allez arriver.
ça fait drôle, et encore plus quand tu ne sera plus la.
c'est un peut bête a dire mai tu est HSO et quand tu sera parti il va manquer un morceau  
je comprend très bien ta saturation avec tout le boulot et le temps passé, et je pense aussi t'on implication morale.
mai comme beaucoup de grand sportif après un bon repos bien mérité j’espère que dans 6 mois 1 ans ou 2 tu te remettra au simracing.
par contre le truc positif c'est que tu va pouvoir faire beaucoup plus de vélo    
c'est dommage qu'on soit si loin sinon avec Martin et même Ben on aurais pu se faire une belle sortie de vélo  
un grand merci a toi, et je te souhaite que du bon pour le suite.

Disons plutôt que mon vélo aurait fait la ballade avec vous, et moi j'aurai attendu votre retour au troquet, avec une petite soucoupe d'olives niçoise, et un p'tit rosé.

et j'ai du mal à croire que tu ne viendra pas faire au moins une course d'ici un momment.
par contre je ne suis pas triste car je me dit que si tu passe à autre chose c'est que c'est encore plus formidable qu'HSO et que tu n'en mérite pas moins!
