Round 12 - Gran Premio d’Italia [Sept 8th]

Le serveur a été ouvert il y a une heure, donc s'il y avait eu un souci, on l'aurait su avant.
Question habituelle : tu as rebooté ta box ?

Pas pu rentrer sur le serveur?????????
 
A 21h09, possibilité mais session closed !!!!!!!

J'étais rentré sur le serveur, puis je suis sorti, pour soigné mes animaux,
et puis je n'ai plus pu entré dedans à 20h50,serveurs indisponible pour rfactor (???)
j'ai essayé essayé,pas moyen !!!
J'avais plus le temps de reboté ma box, et à 21h09 ,tous les serveurs se sont remis en route,
dont le nôtre,mais plus moyen de rentrer dans la course !!
 
Je suis frustré, mais bon, c'est la vie, il y a plus grave.......

Everytime I'm out-driving the car and get myself in a good position I screw it up.  

spun in parabolica, fail.

Uggh so many driver errors. Another wing extraction on lap 1.  

Grats to James and Gerard, was fun chasing you all race on the clock.

Got my fuel strategy completely wrong  First 4 laps I ran mixture 10, dropped it to mix 5 for the next 20 laps then moved it back to 10 where it stayed the rest of the race. I ended up with 30l too much fuel  

Start went OK, stayed behind Greg until Roggia, where I locked up and went straight on across the grass and dropped to 4th. A few more mistakes throughout the lap meant I dropped off of David then I made a couple more mistakes and drove slowly in mix 5 before being passed by James. I continued dropping back until I was around 4 seconds ahead of Franck, where I became Felipe Massa and backed off to let him have my slipstream on the frontstraight and then pass me so he could score more points toward his championship. Driving a steady race from there on, and after Franck's accident and a mistake from James I was able to gain 4th place which I held to the end.

Happy with a 4th place, first points of the season and at the best possible place to do it

Je n'ai pas été bien loin, je loupe mon freinage dès la 2eme chicane du 1er tour et je laisse une suspension dans le rail, abandon  

J'essayerai d'aller un peu plus loin à Estoril

The power went out at my house 20 minutes after race end. That wold have added injury to insult. Good old scattered Texas thunderstorms are in the area.

Désolé d'avoir loupé la course!

I've just viewed the replay, and wanted to share my race impressions with everyone..

Firstly, I have sent a PM of apology to Teemu. Not being accustomed to starting at the front, I was scared to death of wheelspin and colliding with the guy in front of me. I used 2nd gear, and waited a bit too long for P3 to move. Teemu-I am very sorry- a rookee mistake on my part....

Followed Alessio for the first ten laps, and seemed to be making inroads, til he lost it at V del Roggia....I took 4th.

Franck Labedan passed me on lap 17. I offered no fight. Neither would I to Mike Tyson in a bar-he is far better a driver than I.

Kept lapping and I believe Franck went off at Ascari on lap 29-sorry to see him go as he drove a stellar race-starting from back of the grid.

Lapping in the 30-39 laps of the race I noticed my fronts going away. Yellow, then black, then red-rears as healthy as anything...I'll certainly research this a bit more for the next round...

I was mising it under braking, and going into the gravel. Alessio got by me on 38 when I went into the gravel at Ascari...

I pitted immediately, and starting reeling in Alessio. The gap dropped from 23 seconds to 17...on lap 42 I set my fast lap of 1:27.991....the car felt great. I feel fairly confident I could have taken fastest lap of the race...

But I pranged it. Red mist blinded me and on lap 44 I went into the tires at V Del Roggia and lost my nosecone. I limped to the pits, repaired (as Gerarad Ryon passed) and left the pits with the wheel canted about 25 degrees to the right due to damage. Went from doing 1:27s to 1:35s, and watched Mike Becnel's progress.

The checker flag was a relief....

I fully realize I am blessed to have a good ride for this championship (merci beaucoup Gui)....

But in my >2 years of sim racing the first 44 laps of this race (aside from the start) are very most probably the best I've ever driven.

I hope to bring more to the table..and in apologies to Teemu would love to swap rides at a venue of his designation before the end of the calendar

It was my first race here! not very good! Just did 2 laps until someone throw me off the track. This was followed by boxs trying to fix, but the direction was very misaligned. DNF. Hopefully better luck in Estoril!

Encore un DNF dans ce championnat pour moi...

Cette fois-çi, après 20 mètres parcourus, je percute la voiture de Teemu en travers de la piste (il avait perdu le contrôle de sa voiture en changeant de file pour dépasser une Williams sur la grille et moi je le suivais)... Direction faussée, aileron avant arraché...

J'ai quand-même fait un tour par les stands, mais la direction ne se répare pas aux stands et c'est trop pénible de piloter dans ces conditions... Donc, abandon. 

Bravo Greg et le podium, ainsi que tous les finisseurs  (Gérard  ).

It's ok James, not really your fault, I was too eager on the throttle and spun myself trying to avoid you.
Decent qualifying for me, then in race start I spin trying to avoid James and I get hit by people trying to avoid me. I got some damage but the car was drivable and I started catching people up but then in Ascari on Lap 2 iirc somebody brakes earlier than I expect and I lock up and hit the wall on the gravel and I lost my front wing. Repaired that and on the next lap exiting Ascari I spin into a wall and I lost both my left wheels.

This was my first race here andi had a lot of fun.

I was very lucky at the start und ended Lap 1 on P8 or P9 with my difficult to drive Modena.

Later I had a nice fight for 2 Laps with Gérard Ryon, but he was way faster in the end.

Sadly i hit the wall out of Parabolica on Lap 32, the pit crew could not repair it, so after that i needed the entire width of the track to stay on it, because the car didn't go straight any more.

On Lap 36 i had to quit the race, because i breaked with two tires on the grass and lost a wheel.

I hope next Race will be to the finish

I noticed you were all over the track when I was lapping you on the pit straight. That car must have been a massive handful!!
