I'm surprised the Dallara is so fast, was it this quick in 1991?

I managed a 1:14.866 with the Williams on qualifying set up; qualifying softs, and 3 laps of fuel, which explains the time. I only manage a 1:18.5 when running on softs.

yesterday I installed rfactor on my relatively fresh reinstalled system..my PC is not the top one, but I have to say that fps in rF is bad surprise for me...I am used to have 100+ fps but now it drop to 30fps sometimes even without full details...don´t you know where the problem could be? My PC is core2duo 3,6Ghz, 6GB RAM, Radeon HD6770 1GB...thanks to this problems I have steering lag and it is nearly undrivable :-(

What DX mode are you running in? I run with DX7 and ultra graphics (with shadows turned off), receiving 100FPS on this mod.

DX9 as always, I think that my GPU is fast enough...maybe the only difference is that last time I run rF I have older gpu

Try running DX7 or 8, I don't think there is too much of a difference but usually it does help me for when I run more graphically enhanced mods.

If your GPU can run DX9, it should be able to run DX7.

the problem is not in settings..I try everything and it doesnt affect fps for more than 3-4...this should be some incopatibility or something because rF show that I have 3GB of GPU RAM, which is not true...and with older GPU, which was much slower than actual I have aroud 70-100fps...

I noticed I have the same GPU that you do, so it wouldn't be down to the graphics card :/ It would be the processor then.. Additionally, make sure that the active GPU is not the built in motherboard GPU, rather than the ATI 6770

When will we be able to choose a car. Looks like a great race, I am sad to be missing the Elkhart race.

I noticed that some people were struggling with rear end grip on the server yesterday, and losing it. I found that if I am struggling to keep the rear in line, having my rear wing with 7 clicks more than the front wing has helped the balance of the car. I haven't found too much understeer with this set up, and for those that are struggling I would definitely recommend!

My style of driving (screaming, eyes closed and foot to the floor), means that I generally do have this problem with tyres that haven't warmed fast enough. Even with this setting, on soft tyres and 10 laps of fuel, I can get 1:16.7 on the Williams. Whereas when I had more front wing, I was a 1:18.1 with the Williams. I suppose it's driving style though

Depends on the car, for instance, if you try to go with the Brabham with less rear wing than front, the car is really scary and hard to drive (too much power for the innefective chassis, I guess), but with the Lotus, no problem at all, it becomes a lot more balanced with 2 or 3 clicks down in the rear wing, and it's just lovely, too bad the engine doesn't cope with the rest of the package

Try the Fondmetal, feels quite good despite being underpowered too, but I think you should aim for something a bit faster
