Une course rêvée pour moi et Freddy à bord de notre Matra. Beaucoup de régularité et aussi un peu de chance nous permettent de terminer 5ème au général et 1er des protos 3 litres !!! C'est pour nous une forme de victoire absolue, notre meilleur résultats depuis que nous courons tous les deux en endurance.

Un grand merci à HSO pour l'organisation de ce magnifique événement et à la prochaine, sans doute

oui un tres grand bravo a tous les finisseurs et a tous les participants déchus comme moi ...

en revoyant le replay , ca fait encore plus mal de voir de quelques facons on s est fait ruiné notre course a l entree du tour 47 mais ce qui me decoit encore plus ce n est meme pas cet accident , mais le fait que le pilote responsable ( ou son team ) ne soit meme pas venu faire un petit passage dans notre channel TS pour venir s'excuser , ca n aurait rien changé au résultat, ca ne coutait rien mais au moins ca aurait eu un peu de classe .....

Un beau baptême du feu pour moi ...... je prend le départ pour 3H de roulage . Je ne suis pas rapide mais dans mon premier relais je suis régulier et je profite des problèmes des autres . Mon second relais sera plus mitigé .... la fatigue se fait sentir et quand arrive la fin du run, j'ai du mal à rester concentré ...... du coup pas mal de petites fautes qui me font perdre de précieuses secondes. Puis la grosse faute qui me fait passer à travers la barrière ..... heureusement Antoine m'indique gentiment la sortie . Antoine prend le relais j'étais alors 14ième. Il effectue une belle remontée mais un freeze lui fait perdre une bonne trentaine de secondes . Bilan il passe le relais à Alexandre (contraint d'abandonner sa porsche dans les stands sur problème lors du relais) en 13ième position. Alexandre fera un relais parfait et hissera la Lola en 10ième position

Merci à mes coéquipiers de remplacement ....... malgré mon petit niveau, ils ont vraiment jouer le jeu avec moi et m'ont permis de passer une très bonne après-midi en votre compagnie . Bravo à l'organisation et bravo à tous les participants du premier au dernier

Thanks Gui, Martin, and HSO: Huge fun, this event. For me, personally, it might even be a bit a "swan song" where rF1 is concerned...because I worked with this CSGT mod team for a long time to make events like this possible with these fine cars. But at the same time, I'm really hoping to move on to rF2 as soon as it's possible to do so too.

So...."swan-song" only because I'm also running the rF2 BETA...and if you run it yourself, you know how spectacular it is. Imagine this 917K at Spa..............

[FWIW, this is the first time...and the ONLY time too...that I've actually had a chance to DRIVE my favorite car (917) in any sort of long distance "league event." Too long in coming, and so I really do want to thank all the people behind HSO]

From my own perspective: I worked with this mod team (and most specifically with their genius physics guy, "Bristow," who is a real world mechanical engineer by profession when he's not building physics and mechanical (and tire) models for the rest of us).

Bristow worked hard and long to make these cars not only perform right..but also LOOK right too in replays.

By getting most of the physics right, I think.

T'en fais pas Vincent, nous avons fait tant de courses ensemble et c'est le 1er fois que je te vois abandonner sur déconnection. Déception bien sûr, parce que nous avons fait un travail d'équipe excéptionel en préparant cette course. Mais, bon, ça arrive et ce n'est pas le fin du monde. Il y aura toujours la pochaine course. Pour ma part 2e endurance que je fait, mon objectif : terminer la course quoi qu'il arrive même si je fini dernier !

J'ai pris le volant en catastrophe au bout d'une heure de course car Yahia s'est invité à l'insu de son plein gré dans un carembolage déjà existant et n'a pas put l'éviter, la voiture étant très endommagée on en a profité pour changer de pilote !

Mon run se passe relativement bien, mes chronos ne sont pas execeptionel mais j'ai 4 roues sur la piste c'est déjà bien !!!
Mon réservoir se vide, on change de pilote, et quand Yahia reprend la voiture son volant braque sur la gauche (je sais pas combien on a fait de changement de pilote ensemble, on a jamais eu ce problème là, vraiment bizarre et j'ai peut-être une théorie), il fait quelque tours et impossible de tenir la cadence, donc reprise de volant en speed après m'être restauré, et c'est reparti pour un deuxième run! Yahia entre temps réessaie de calibrer son volant en off-line et ça fonctionne !
Mon réservoir se vide une deuxième fois et on retente le changement de pilote, bam, même problème, le volant braque vers la gauche;
Yahia me dit que c'est vraiment pas faisable de faire un run comme ça et qu'il devait finir l'aventure ici au bout de 3h30 de course; Dilem pour moi, je viens de faire 2h30 de course, il en reste 2h30 vais-je pouvoir finir ?
On s'est entrainé toute la semaine, tous ces efforts pour rien, ça m'e**erde un peu !!!
Je suis aller me restaurer, decompresser un peu pendant que le coéquiper faisait quelques tours sur la piste, et je lui ai repris le volant ! "Stratégie" jusqu'a la fin de la course, que Yahia fasse quelque tours après avoir fini mon réservoir le temps de me reposer quelque minutes, je préferre ça qu'a un abandon pure et simple, j'ai mis 4 roues sur la piste elles y resteront (*dans la limite des stocks disponibles)!

La ligne d'arrivée est enfin passée, soulagement, la course est finie ! Comme je l'ai dit mon but était de finir la course et me faire plaisir! Le contrat a été plus qu'honoré, 5h de run casiement consécutives sur 6h de courses pour une 2° course d'endu c'est pas mal !
Je suis vacciner d'rFactor pour quelques petites semaines car apparement il faut en préparer une autre, pour des 24h du Nordschleife; Amis runner, je suis libre !!!

Je tenais à m'excuser pour ceux que j'ai put gêner ou toucher pendant la course, plus particulièrement à Nicolas Sanchez, qui me reviens en tête, à qui je lui fait inscrire correctement son spin qu'il avait entamé dans le virage à @ 90° avant la ligne d'arrivée, Désolé Nico !

Spécial congralutations to Christopher Snow who had spent lot of time alone in his car on the track, like me !!!

Merci, à HSO d'avoir d'organiser cet évènement, à Martin et Franck d'avoir pris du temps pour le liveTV (surtout à ce dernier qu'il ne savait pas qu'il était en live alors qu'il l'était !!!), ainsi que Damien et le collègue qu'il y avait dont je ne sais plus le nom !! Peut-être un peu plus de full screen pour le livetv, car c'était en petit et pixelisé donc pas top !

Merci à mon coéquipier Yahia, pour avoir passer du temps sur le setup, et à ton soutien pendant la course, on refait ça quand tu veux !!!

PS : Il manque pas une partie de la course sur le livestream ?

oui j ai remarqué aussi qu il manquait une partie d environ 2h sur le live teaming

fairplay absolu en piste, çà fait plaisir !
notre porsche aura quand réussi à nous hisser à la 9 eme place en partant 22eme
régularité et bonne stratégie, merci à pal et alban, un vrai kif que de tourner avec vous

seulement quelques lags pendant mes runs mais au moins un m'a fait galérer dans la ligne droite et passer du coté droit de la piste au coté gauche, résultat bonne touchette avec un équipage, mais me rappelle plus qui
vraiment désolé sur ce coup là

l'autre team gpf1 finit à une tres belle 4eme place mais bon po trop étonné car ces trois-là nous font déjà galerer sur le champ historic...

j'espère à bientôt sur la Nordschleife

Thanks Freddy It wasn't planned that way, but my teammate was called to work on Sunday, and with the late start to the race he ended up going only about 45 minutes in I think before he had to fly out the door (lap 34).

My 5h15m run was easily the longest driving stint I've ever put during my twenty-odd year long career in sim-racing, and even though I came away at the end with my left shoulder throbbing, it was also hugely rewarding...and just great fun.

A great thanks to Alberto that keep with me a big responsability, i dont have think to reach to close the race.
Alberto its a real gentleman driver he have with him, professionality, precision, calm, experience.
The race was long but with one hour for driver can be clean, Alberto have made a good setup and we have raced with the hard tyres, i had mounted 2 time in second e third stint the soft tire, in my 1st stint i have made many mistake like to add some extra fuel, the car dont straight on ( after i add 1% of deadzone in my controller) and 2d e 3d stint go better, but in the last stint i was very tired and i hint the wall very hard, I thought I had destroyed the 908 but i was going to repair the car and finsh the race.

Guillaume: Not that it matters much, but are the results well confirmed? I noticed something weird at the start of the race amidst all the lag, because as soon as I crossed the line my hud reported being two laps down the leader already!

Are there more endurance races planned for this year? Next time I think we might pick a faster car, the 908 is nice but at the Glen the lack of power was quite noticeable against the Alfas and Matras ...

It also didn't help that we couldn't get the fuel loads to work well, so we were always ending up with full tank after driver swaps! In 1 hour stints this was like racing with permanent weigth penalty, as I don't recall having finished a stint with less than half tank

Une belle course avec tellement d'histoires à raconter Le père JP qui se retrouve tout seul chez Alfa pendant 2h30 alors qu'il n'était pas prévu au départ, les pilotes interchangeables du team Piper, les relais infinis de Christopher et Freddy, l'épopée de la GT40 qui aura même pointé dans le top 10 à un moment, le pauvre Carl qui roule seul en espérant l'arrivée de Steve, notre 312 NART qui aura mené toute la course jusqu'à l'incident fatal, le gros coup de stress du serveur TS limité 30min avant la course (un beau bordel pour réparer ça) ... et j'en oublie surement.

C'est juste vraiment dommage tous ces problèmes aux relais, car si j'ai bien compté, cela a causé les abandons de 7 équipages, je n'avais jamais vu ça avant.

A great race with so many individual stories JP Campmajo who wasn't even on the starting list and drove the Alfa alone on TS for 2h30, the permutable drivers of the Piper team, the endless stints of Christopher and Freddy, the Ford GT40 odyssey which even got in the top 10 at one point, the poor Carl driving alone waiting for Steve, our 312 who led the whole race until the fatal incident, the full TS server 30min before the race (what a mess to fix that)... and I probably forgot many others.

Its just too bad there was so many problems with drivers swaps, as I think 7 teams left the race because of that, never saw that before

Terrific afternoon as far as I'm concerned, I had great fun commentating this race, and I had a lovely drive with the Loal T70 I shared with Guillaume and Alexandre!

Guillaume took a great start from 9th and had a pretty consistent two-stints, before handing over to me. Doing both commentating and driving duties proved easier that I had thought, I was in the pace straight on. Unfortunately I had a wee coming together with Richard, no biggie but a bit scary And eventually had a 30s freeze I really thought it would be terminal but I thought it would be a good idea to punch my computer in the face and believe it or not it worked and could keep going. By the end of my stint the tyres were cooked and I was relieved to let Alex finish the race, he had a great stint and we finished 10th
Great event, I loved every minute of it and I want to thank all drivers, congratulate every finishers, to Christopher on a massive driving effort and of course to the Belgian pairing who had an excellent race en route to a great win! well done guys

J'ai adoré cette après-midi, je me suis beaucoup amusé à commenter la course, et le pilotage de la T70 que je partageais avec Guillaume et Alexandre m'a bien plu

Guillaume a pris le départ depuis la 9ème place sur la grille et a fait deux relais très régulier, il était un peu stressé avant le départ et j'étais content de voir qu'il tenait bien le choc une fois en piste Pour ma part, cumuler les tâches de commentateur et de pilote s'est avéré être plus aisé que je ne le pensais, et j'ai pu très vite être dans mon meilleur rythme. Malheureusement j'ai eu un petit incident avec Richard, rien de grave mais surtout un freeze de 30s juste avant le freinage du loop, j'ai bien cru que tout était fini mais heureusement j'ai tapé sur mon PC et ca a remarché La fin du relais était plus technique, avec une caisse un peu abimée et des pneus mort. J'étais donc soulagé d'être relayé par Alex, qui a fait un superbe dernier relais qui nous a permis de finir 10ème

C'était une super course, je remercie mes coéquipiers du jour pour leur sérieux et leur sympathie Bravo à tous les pilotes très fair play et bien sur au vainqueur belge, grosse performance!

Malheureusement on a pas trace de tout le broadcast, mais le départ et 3 heures de courses sont de même disponible en VOD On a un peu essuyé les plâtres dans ce domaine, mais il est certain que tout sera bien plus au point pour la prochaine course, stay tuned

I posted those results just so we could have something on the forum after the race as our usual race report tool doesn't work with long races. So its just what I read in the xml export file. We can give you 2 laps back (I think the finishing Alfa needs one lap back too), fortunately it won't change the final order.

As concerning a next endurance, nothing is decided yet, not sure it would be on this mod as the others tracks were those cars raced are almost only "engine tracks" (Monza, Oster, Daytona, Sebring, Spa, Le Mans ), that leaves the Nordschleife (which we did in 2009) and Brands Hatch, which is, I think, too narrow for those cars. So maybe with another mod (who said GroupC ? ).

OK thxs Guillaume I have no problem with those laps even if it had meant getting a better position. I was just asking because it could be worth checking what screwed the lap count, so that in future races it doesn't cause problems to teams who might really depend on it working well for honour positions

I think the mess happened at the start, because I was overtaken by two cars before the line and maybe the game screwed it and thought I was being lapped. Actually, despite not crashing or making errors, the leaders started lapping me after just 10 laps!! So it might actually also have happened that the lag that made the cars appear/disspear in front and around me also repositioned me wrong on the track as far as the server goes, and there went my two missing laps

And what about Targa Florio? engines doesn't mean too much there IMHO.

And I forgot to tell there is an admin command to set the number of laps completed, so if you have that issue you can come in our TS channel to tell us, we can fix that during the race.

Notre objectif avec Richard était juste de finir cette course car on a bien vu lors des différents essais qu'on était pas vraiment les plus rapides (surtout moi )

Je pars donc tranquillement 23è arrivant rapidement à la 21è place avec en vue les 3 voitures devant moi.

Je suis à peu près leur rythme jusqu'à ce que D MArty se loupe en me passant au freinage avant the Loop.

Pas trop de dégats, je continue donc à mon (petit) rythme en restant longtemps à la 21è place, jusqu'à la période où arrive les gros crashs.

Finalement, je finis mon run à la 16è place.

Richard prend le relai avec une vitesse plus soutenue que moi .

Pas trop d'incidents pour lui et finalement après un double-relai, il me rend la voiture en 10è position.

Je reprend donc le volant en sachant que le voiture derrière moi est plus rapide et que je finirais surement pas perdre ma 10è place.

Vers la fin de la course en voulant laisser passé un lappeur dans l'avant dernier virage, j'ai mordu le vibreur intérieur ce qui me fit partir en spin, désolé pour lui

Je décide de rentrer aux pits vu que j'avais 2 tours d'avance et j'étais pas sûrs d'avoir assez d'essences.

On finit à une 11è place inespérée

Pour Damien, à prioris personne n'est venu sur notre chanel (ou alors je n'ai pas trop fait attention ) mais j'étais en train d'écouter le live quand tu en as parlé donc pas de soucis

Comme l'as dit Gui, il y a tant à dire sur cette course! Merci beaucoup à tout les participants!

Pour ma part j'ai fait 4 relais (2 sur la 312 et 2 sur la 512), je n'ai eu de soucis avec personne, mis à part avec Didier Conjeaud que je n'ai pas réussi à distinguer derrière son nuage de fumée provoqué surement par une crevaison. Je le percute légèrement, réussi à contrôler (c'est un bien grand mot quand même ) la voiture jusqu'a reprendre la piste dans le Loop, mais avec une crevaison à la clé.
Désolé Didier si j'ai aggravé l'état de ta voiture! De mon côté la 512 n'a plus jamais aussi bien marché, elle ne prenait plus que 285 en pointe au lieu d'un peu plus de 300. Mais bon vu les mésaventures que cette voiture avait déjà connu, on était plus à ça près!

Concernant la 312, j'ai pu faire deux premiers relais sans aucun accros, en allant vite sans avoir besoin d'être à la limite, et la je dis un grand merci à Tiago pour son setup, extraordinaire simplement! Donc je passe le volant à Guillaume avec 2 tours d'avance je crois, qui va continuer à creuser l'écart, le portant à 4 tours il me semble quand vient le passage de relai avec Tiago à une heure du but. Et la c'est le drame, bug du FFB, Tiago n'y est absolument pour rien, c'est juste un grand manque de chance Mais bon nous ne sommes pas les seuls, malheureusement beaucoup (trop) de problèmes au moment des changements de pilotes, étonnant

Un grand bravo à tout les finisseurs, à Filip et à Ricardo, à David et Christopher (5h15 de suite dans une 917 ), et à Jens et Carsten! Bravo aussi à Dimitri et Freddy pour la victoire en 3000, j'aurai bien aimé vous chiper la 5ème place du général sur la fin avec notre 512, mais après mon dernier pitstop j'ai arrêté de surveiller les écarts, pensant que c'était fini, et à la fin, seulement 10 secondes Mais bon vous en avez surement gardé sous la pédale pour gérer la fin de course, donc j'ai pas de regrets

What an amazing race! Thanks to all participants!

In my 2 first stints, I managed to build a 2 laps margin, thanks to an awesome setup by my team mate Tiago Then Guillaume increased the gap during his 2 stints. Being something like 4 laps ahead of Filip and Ricardo, we started to be confident, but rFactor didn't want a win for us During our last driver swap Tiago had a wrong FFB and couldn't avoid a crash in the esses. But unfortunalely we are not the only team who had this kind of problem

Our 512 was down in the standing early in the race, and at the end, we all 3 have made a big mistake with it, so happy to finish 6th

Congrats to Filip and Ricardo, David and Christopher (amazing stint(s) ), Jens and Carsten, Dimitri and Freddy, and of course all finishers
