Touring Car Legends Mod and Cars

The championship will use the Touring Car Legends 1.10 mod for rFactor. You will also need the sound pack to get all the engine sounds.

The field is divided in two classes : over and under 2,500cc. Four cars are included in each class

Class 1 (Over 2,500cc) : Ford Mustang, Rover Vitesse SD1, Toyota Supra Turbo, Volvo 240 Turbo
Class 2 (2,500cc) : ALFA-Romeo 75 Turbo, BMW M3, Ford Escort Turbo, Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3-16.

All upgrades for each of these eight cars are allowed.

Car choice is free. However the administrator can refuse to grant a driver a car that -he thinks- is too fast for him. In this case, the driver will have to choose another car.
Changing of car during the championship will be tolerated under exceptional circumstances only. Also, in the event of a driver announcing his absence to a given race, his car will not be made available for another driver.

Championship Rules

The championship will be run over 13 meetings, held on Wednesday nights. Each meeting will host either one 40 mins race or two 25 mins races. Both classes will run together in all races.
Points will be awarded to the top 10 scratch finishers and to the top 12 class finishers on the following scale :

Scratch : 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
Class : 30-25-20-17-15-13-11-9-7-5-3-1

Points will be doubled in the single-race meetings. All results count at the end of the season (no dropped scores).

Weight Penalties

Additional weight will be given to the first three cars of each race, using the following scale :

1st : +50 kg
2nd : +30 kg
3rd : +20 kg

The maximum total extra weight a car can carry is of 100 kg.

Any car running with some extra weight that would not finish in the top 3 of a race will have 10 kg of lest removed for the next one. Missing a race does not mean the driver will lose some of his extra weight for the next race.

All additional or removed weights will be double in case of single race meetings.

Qualifying

The starting grid for the race will be determined by the times recorded during the 10-mins qualifying session held just before the race. This session will be a "private" one as per rFactor's rules, which means you have to be present on the server before the qualifying session's start, as it is impossible to connect to the server during a "private" session. This qualifying system is made necessary because of the weight penalty system which must be enforced manually by the admins. With a private qualifying session, we will be able to monitor without any possible error and/or cheating all the weighted cars.

In the double-header meetings, the starting grid for the second race will be determined according to the results of the first race.

Event Schedule

All meetings will be held on Wednesday nights (all times given as CET)

20:00 - Free Practice
20:50 - Qualifying (closed session)
21:00 - Warmup
21:15 - Race Start
21:45 - Race 2 start (for double-header meetings)

Starts will be given standing on the grid, after one formation lap.

Manufacturers’ Championship

Only the top 10 finishing cars of each race are eligible for Manufacturers’ Championship points. Points are awarded on the following scale : 20-15-12-10-8-6-4-3-2-1. Only the best car of each make can score. All results count at the end of the season (no dropped scores).

Behaviour on Track

A few behaviour rules :

- as for all HSO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you.

- Chatting :

Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in and race sessions.
It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues.

- Defend your position :

To defend your position, it is allowed to change once AND ONLY ONCE your racing line. If you witnesse an opponent breaking this rule, please report it to the admins who will take the appropriate sanctions (disqualification from the race and start from the back of the grid at the following event).

- Drive Through :

If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100km/h max (60mph). If he doesn't respect this, he will get a 40s penalty at the end of the race.

- Shortcuts :

If a driver gains a position after shortcutting a turn, he is required to give it back as soon as possible. In the case where a driver would not do it rapidly, a 30-second penalty will be added to his total race time. In the event of abusive and intentional shortcutting, severe sanctions will be applied (up to definitive a ban from the league). To make sure you never shortcut a turn, try to always keep two wheels on the track.

Small adjustement : All additional or removed weights will be double in case of single race meetings.

It seems fair as those races give twice the amount of points of sprint races.
