The same shit all over again... no fps... the same drivers doing the same shitty starts like this was a 5-lapper... I really have a problem with the spirit in this series. I'll keep coming tho, as I'll have a new pc for the reprise in September, but than I might start behaving like an asshole too and will certainly close some doors on some guys with great pleasure.

Pas duré longtemps mais me suis bien amusé Very Happy

After looking at the results and the replay, it has become clear that the server forgot to count one lap to Kimmo Kononen. He finished in fact 5th in front of Steve.

Marcus :conduit:

PostSubject: Re: Round 9 - Silverstone   Round 9 - Silverstone - Page 5 Icon_minitimeSun 27 Jun 2010 - 23:13

==========
Not much to say about my race, I jumped Pierre and Steve at the start, then quickly opened a gap on the rest of the pack, 10 seconds in 10 laps, I even checked on the HUD if i wasn't on quali tires :rigol:
Then the other drivers woke up :D and were lapping in the same times than me, all I had to do was controling the gap and not doing any mistakes. I think Grégoire and Tiago were a bit faster than me tonight, but too far behind.

A good win for the championship :first: even if that wasn't a thrilling race. Grats all finishers and thanks to the lapped cars, no problem at all with them tonight.

BTW, I just had a look at the replay of the start, and would like to know : Tiago why the heck did you turn right after T1 while Pierre was along side you ? I'm sure you did not do it on purpose, but come on, he was along side you in T1, you could not see him in the mirrors, so where do you think he could have been ? And just by turning your head to the right you could see his car was right here ... Come on mate you can do better than that, that was an accident really easy to avoid Neutral

PostSubject: Re: Round 9 - Silverstone   Round 9 - Silverstone - Page 5 Icon_minitimeSun 27 Jun 2010 - 23:14

Smile That was a fun race. Imagine I was thinking about skipping this because I don't like Silverstone. Until lap 11 or so, it was a lot of fun. We were 4 cars, very tight, Steve, Tiago, Carlo and I, coming to lap Marc Florkin, he kept to the left very nicely, but unfortunately for me, I didn't have any downforce left to be able to turn in so I went a little off road. Lost 1 spot to Gregoire... Soon after that I noticed I was all of a sudden 1 lap behind everyone, apparently the server missed lap 11 for me because I went a little wide, and a fair bit up towards the sky, but managed to get back on to the track unharmed. I was a fair bit upset, but I hoped the admins would sort it out afterwards. So after that I went for it, I drove all I could. Was interesting with a few backmarkers a couple of times, they couldn't possibly know I was about to lap them, because the timing was showing I was battling with them for position. But all went well, there was never any contact or so. Man I love racing with you guys, can get so close but still everyone gives room, gives up the corner when they know they have lost it etc. I try to return the favor by not fighting at all with people who are obviously quicker than me, but behind me for one reason or the other. Especially in the beginning of a race.

Anyway, a bunch of laps later I overtook Steve, he had spun (I heard afterwards he had a little help) in the chicane so I knew I should be 5th, depending on where he was, but by my count, unless someone had exited the server, there was 4 in front of me. I knew Steve was quicker than me all the way, but I didn't see him after that. Damage to the car, no doubt. Sad Nor did I see anyone else so it got a bit lonely after that. But I tried to keep my head down and try not to think about boobs or beer. Like I sometimes do when I lose concentration...

So I was able to do a 1.16.924 in the end, so I am happy with that too, I really thought I would be a lot slower. Even better, 3 points for Renault, woo-hoo!

Bring on Hockenheim... Twisted Evil We will be going for more points there...

Anyway, thanks Gui for sorting it out. I would really have kicked myself, the wheel, my neighbours cat, the computer and whoever made Silverstone, all the way to the moon if I had done all that work for nothing :D

Congratulations for the win, and the rest of the podium. Props to the guys in the painfully slow cars, but they hung in there until the end. Hats off for you for that. :hello: :hello:

What happened to last seasons Masters championship by the way, where the people in the shit cars can still fight for that championship? Bring it back please... Smile

I'm sorry Pierre but I don't really think you're being fair to me, since you were slow in T1 and I tried to make a move in the left side. I tried to stay there and we just touched wheels because...... well because that's racing. Those things can happen. I made my move without trying to take any chances. I knew I was in front after T1 but I still kept as elft as I could. The only thing I can think of is that you didn't know I was there, I accpet that perfectly, I just don't accept that you say that it was a dangerous move.

But anyways, I'm sorry for that

PS: Gui, the car went a bit to the right because it slid a bit when going to the Kerb. I knew Pierre was there, but never thought he was going to the far left of the track. Again sorry for that

Banging wheels in DTM or USAC, and in F1 isn't exactly the same. Also doing it in the first lap of a 68-lap race isn't really clever. The mentality of some drivers here is unacceptable, and one day, it'll backfire not only on them, but also on the league.

Gui, you should open your eyes, take off your rose tinted glasses and have a look on what's happening in the field. Of course when you're far away up front, nothing happens it's all good.

I could tell even before the start you were too hot Tiago, you spent your formation lap racing me and absolutely wanting to stay in front of me whereas you were behind me on the grid... I really don't know what has got into you tonight, but if we all had behaved as you did there would have been 15 retirement on lap 1. Your move on Pierre is acceptable if you pull it through safely. You did not and that makes it a scandalously outrageous move in my book. I mean swerving on the right and taking out the pole sitter... in a straight line Shocked in the first lap Shocked Shocked of a full GP Shocked Shocked Shocked . How I miss the GPL spirit... Sad

ok tiago but i never go to the far left of the track ,i gave you enough room on the left side and stayed in the middle ,then you turned right ,another bad luck for me.
i was aiming to win this race and i m very sad for the third time in three races, thinking to give up simracing witch brings me too much frustrations.
i don't bear grudges because i'm sure you are a good guy and i put it on your hot latin behaviour.
so no problem mate
