2020 GP247 Speedweeks I - Prototypes

GP247 Speedweeks I - Prototypes (March 5-20) Affich22

Group C and 1999 Prototypes

For the first of our series of Speedweeks, we will run sports-prototypes cars together, with the 1999 Toyota GT-One and Mercedes CLR sharing the track with the 1991 Group C cars of MAK-Corp's mod. All cars are available on Steam (free content).

Group C Mod v1.1 by MAK-Corp

The 1991 Group C mod includes the Mazda 787B, Porsche 962C and the Sauber-Mercedes C11 in the latest version of the mod for rFactor 2. Featuring unique realistic physics for each vehicle as well as different tire compounds, this is your chance to get behind the wheel of the three most iconic racing cars in the history of Group C racing.

Download Mod Manual MAK-Corp Manual

Apex Endurance by Yoss

From the Apex modding team come two equally iconic Le Mans cars of 1999 : the Mercedes-Benz CLR and Toyota GT-One. The cars were both released as stand-alones, each coming with their own specs and physics.

Website : https://www.apex-modding.com/

The objective is to hotlap with all the cars as many times as you wish, however respect other drivers as you would in normal race qualifying conditions. Also note, not everyone is hotlapping as this is also set up for testing setups, team practice etc.

Have fun and enjoy!

Bonus Points

The following cars will each be eligible for Hotlap Trophy bonus points as per the rules :

- 1991 Porsche 962C
- 1991 Mazda 787B
- 1991 Sauber-Mercedes C11
- 1999 Toyota GT-One
- 1999 Mercedes CLR

Great! The best cars in the history of endurance racing! One of these days I will try Toyota LMGTP and Porsche 962.

PostSubject: Some Setups   GP247 Speedweeks I - Prototypes (March 5-20) Icon_minitimeSat 7 Mar 2020 - 15:52

Hi Drivers

With reference to the MAK-Corp mod, I am no setup guru and try to build ones that allow me to drive with my rig consistently.
I have a G27 with Fanatec Elite ($99) pedals.
My pace is Gentleman Driver. Not a fancy package!

Using the standard TUNING (high downforce packages) I used these setups.

Porsche http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=04395760871995061866
Sauber http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=13757760271096139493
Mazda http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=87767685145056237593

Maybe these setups help some drivers get in the groove.
Note that the TUNING menu has many variants including aero packages and tyre brands, while the setups themselves also have many hidden turbo boosts and qualy modes worth exploring.

Feel free to share your setups or ask questions.

Vadim and I just had about a 3 hour plus fast lap duel. Looks like the Sauber might be the fastest but the Mazda and 962 are not far off. I suspect Vadim will knock off my fast lap next time he tries.

Highly encourage everybody to start with the 787B.
A real pleasure to drive. Smooth and forgiving in every way.
962C is a workhorse. Not a beast...also not tamed.

i never understood why games featured the Sauber c9 - ever. Ugly thing.
If you want 80's power and early 90's lets do this computing - RUN THE C11.
One of the best race cars ever created - driven by an army of talent back then.

Also - the sound is AMAZING

Wreckers or checkers with that setup. I spun it 4 times in the 8 lap fun race with Vadim. I think he spun his once at the last turn and went wayyyyy off track. I broke the car badly on the first or second spin but finished.
