Looks like I need to drive some of the really slow crates, no way I get a fast one!

And also, Vadim T is the second fastest in the Ferrari at the moment and it is his fastest time of all.

Haven't driven anything for 4 years apart from the f2004 AC in VR....randomly.
I crashed and cursed a lot for this time - also I am ill atm.
67's are so unintuitive, one does really realize after a long break.

I know I am new to historic racing but MAN you guys are fast! I am working my tail off to get to 1:34.098 and I am still 4+ seconds off the pace. I do have to say though, driving this mod is about as much fun as one can legally have

cela dit, tu me met 8 dixièmes sur la Brabham , je vais finir sur la BRM La logique du règlement veut que les pilotes qui font les temps les plus faibles obtiennent les voiture les plus difficile a piloter , cela a le mérite de faire travailler le pilotage.

I put in some laps on the server in the BT20. I followed directions to be sure my rf2 user name is my full name. I think my times are fast enough. What did I miss? sorry for my confusion.

Maybe someone took your slot on the server after you left the session, Jim. The hotlap plugin fetches time in the .xml result files created at the end of every session, not in live time. That's the problem with 2-hour sessions, if you leave before it ends your times might get bumped . We might shorten them to 1 hour, we'll see.

Thanks as always, Frank. However something weird seems to be going on. I think I missed something else. I changed my name in the rfactor.name file and in the player.json. When I start an event offline my player name is Jim Carvalho. When I join the server my player name is JimC. Do I need to change it in the multiplayer.json or somewhere else?

Has no one put in times in the BT20 and RA273?

You need to edit your rfactor.name file as well as your player.json one, as explained here.

Apart from you, only François has a time with the BT20 and nobody has one in the RA273. François' BT24 time gives him this car for the moment, so his BT20 time was disregarded.

I'd rather not drive the Lotus. Its well represented in this mod - a class of its own, capable of a freakish 1:28.9.
No other car is even close.

Also I can upload my setups if somebody cares.

All the dumpster fires will soon have a pathetic time with my name next to them soon. Then I will go back to trying to make the Ferrari have a one lap orgasm.

My rfactor.name file was already changed and still looks OK. My player.json file keeps reverting to "JimC" in the Nick line. Sorry to be so obtuse about this. Thanks for your patience.

Change it in the rfactor.name file once more, save it and after that put the rfactor.name file
to READ ONLY in the properties.

Yes the "read only" part is vital, and also remember to do the edits "as an administrator" .

Il faut lancer le programme avec lequel tu édites le fichier (notepad ou autre) via un click droit en sélectionnant "ouvrir en tant qu'administrateur".

C'est bien le souci car pour "Bloc Note" quand je fais clic droit je n'ai pas l'option administrateur

Look at the real weather forecast for tomorrow at the real track location. That is what the plugin looks at. As we get close to the race time you know what it will likely be. Rain chance looks below 40%.

The one I had changed is in \AppData\.rFactor folder. The other (that I should have been changing ) is in \AppData\Roaming\.rFactor as is pointed out in the directions posted elsewhere. So all is well. I just joined the server with my real name and put in some laps in the RA273.
