2020 HSO Gold Star
Round 3 | 1967 Gran Premio d'Italia
CAR ATTRIBUTION RULES
For this event, we will use a "Special" car attribution method, as per the HSO Sporting Code definitions. Due to the mod having only 20 available cars, a prequalifying system will be used.
- Prequalifying will consist of every timed lap made on the training server until February 21st, 8pm (CET).
- Every driver is free to drive any of the 10 types of cars available during prequalifying, and can switch from a car to another has he pleases.
- The ten car types available are : Brabham-Repco BT20, Brabham-Repco BT24, BRM P83, Cooper-Maserati T81, Eagle-Weslake T1G, Ferrari 312, Honda RA273, Honda RA300, Lotus-BRM 43, Lotus-Cosworth 49.
- At the end of prequalifying, times recorded by the server will be used to assign a car to each driver, with the two drivers having made the fastest times for each type selected to drive it for the race.
- In the event of a driver having made one of the two fastest laps for two or more types of cars, he will be assigned to the one he made his overall fastest lap in. His fast laps with other types of cars will be discarded, making room for other drivers on said cars.
- A driver that would not accept the car he is assigned as per the rules will not be given an alternate choice. His car will be offered to the car-less driver having set the fastest prequalifying time with it. Therefore please try not to use in prequalifying a car you have no intention to use for the race.
- Only times recorded by the hotlap plugin will be taken into consideration.
- Any driver caught gaining or trying to gain an unfair advantage by way of shortcuts will be excluded from the event, pending further sanctions.

Have you considered adding cars that are not part of this mod, which also raced in 1967? I'm thinking in particular of the ISI/S397 BT20 and the M4b. I don't know how well these different mods "play" with each other. Just a thought. Might provide a grid slot for a couple more drivers.

Jim,
If a car was not in the actual series/race in history we do not run it. Your suggestion is a good one and could be done but HSO avoids this.

The BT20 is already in the mod, and not too hot about mixing different physics for the moment yes. Would need some edits to make it a more homogeneous package. And also for one event it's fun to have the 20-car limit of GPL .

Agreed it means the cream will rise to the top. But everyone gets a chance to prequalify. Great concept in my book. Maybe we could have a B-Race for the non-qualifiers at Monza on GP247 HSO server as a warm-up before the big race? Just a thought and an offer...

Above is the link to Brianza hot laps per Frank.
In terms of this race, I don’t think I have ever backed into one single wall (and group of trees) so many times.

Understood, Frank. Thank you. Would be nice to have Bruce's McLaren-BRM.
Looking at the times from the 1967 event, I'm pretty sure I can qualify faster than Ligier and Baghetti. Black Jack was haulin' to get the BT24 into the 28s.

Ah oui !

Franois Violet Britus Racing HSO 1967 F1 Legends 2.0 1: 32.942 Franois Violet Beagle Racing HSO 1967 F1 Legends 2.0 1: 33.287 Franois Violet Yonda Racing Two HSO 1967 F1 Legends 2.0 1: 34,679

Only 7 on arrival ... In view of these results we see that at the level of realism, it is not there with this mod ... (compared to Gpl), 9 engine breaks ... in Rf2, to break an engine, you have to go...
