| For some reason I could not disconnect from the server at each pitstop, so Antoine will have to take a lap off my time... or disqualify me... no too sure what the rule is in this case... Otherwise quite a nice race. I was 6th early on thanks to some fastest cars spinning. Had a few nice fights, notably with Jim Ray and my mate Philou. I spun entering the pits for my first stop and lost time there not being able to disco. I had another big off at the second chicane and my top speed dropped to a scandalous 180 mph . All my apologies once again to Manu Soriano which I sent spinning after he passed me. I just wanted to take his draft but we touched... ... Grats to Alex and to all finishers. See you all in Donington, October 3rd . | |

| Great Win Aleks!Superb drive!that was a great race!Sorry for taping you after you spun..thot I could get by!You really drove the wheels off after that! The #13 Le Sarthe car handled great, thx to a great setup by my Teamate Damian Gozstyla..Unfortunately,she was slow on the straights and bad on fuel..Tried half throttle to save but thaat was a mistake..Should have pushed ,had to pit 3 times anyway..Don't think it would have changed the outcome but it was good to see P1 for one lap! I have to apologise to Teamate #20 Jim Ray in the Porsche for the tap at the beginning..Jim's gonna get the replay from me so we should have a broadcast tomorrow! Very proud of my Teamates, some running their 1st or 2nd GTP race..Had alot of great battles and I'd like to thank Antoine and Frank and the rest of HSO for a great show! You guys are top notch Pro Sim racers in my opinion...more to come!

| Well,..Firstly, I would like to Thank All those Involved in Both the race tonight and in the Organisation of the Event, Let alone a Big Thanks for letting me run as well. I'd also Like to Thank everyone for letting Me TQ !!,..ROFL I Honestly Can't Believe it Myself,...lol,..seeing it in Print convinces me,..But,.. What a completely Stupiod course of events My race developed into,..sigh,..lol Having Never actually Had to Lead a Race Start in this game,..I Hope I did an OK Job,..But even though I Thought I had timed the Start real well,..I suddenly Got That 'Pesky',.."Oh Man they've given us a Stop & Go",..Damn I thought,..Nothing to do But to Try and Make some Good laps and come in and get it over with,..I thought. Perhaps I just should have stayed out until I would have gotten the Warning,..But as It would appear I Didn't actially Have a Black Flag, which I Only discovered when I arrived at My Pit,..Only to Have them do a Pit Stop !!,..DOH !! Oh Well I thought,..Give me a bit of a challenge,..lol Back out we go. Everything was going along Swimmingly, making good time,..Baulked myself a few times trying to be cautious and Non Pushy in My overtaking,..But Then,..Stragely,..at about lap 35 or 40 ??,..I Lost 3rd gear,!!..Damn,..Oh well,..Nothing for it other than to do My Driver Disco,..mess around wih the Buttons, head back Out,..learing to Change with the Rescue setup and New ratios, get back to 1.54's, and then have a silly spin, end up Nose to the wall, (No Damage),..But Realised I had forgotten to Assign 'Reverse' !!,..DOH !!!,..Did I Feel Stupid ??,..Ohh well, Call the Tow Truck,..sigh. Do you Get the Drift ?? ROFL Fix all that and get back out and am Motoring along again OK and having Fun,..when Lo and Behold, I Hit My Shifter Button at about 200kph (Unfortunatel, the One that selects First !!),..BBBbbrrriiiinnngggg!,..DEAD Engine,..Just Like that at lap 53 I think! It Was actually somewhat annoying really, as The setup, i had was Great to drive and forgiving and I couldn't believe How well the start and first few laps went,..Ahh, If I had Not come in for that Stop and Go,..what Might have been,..ROFL. Hey I had an absolute BALL, after about a 2 year layoff from Sim Racing,..AND Have HONESTLY been Surprised By My Speed. I seem to have spent Most Of My Past Lights Racing, watching My Mirrors !! It was Extremely Good Fun to actually be quick. I'd also like to say "What a Great bunch of racers as well,..I thoroughly Enjoyed Myself and Most definitely Look forward to the Following Rounds Am definitely going to have to get My Team mate together Now, especially after tonite. Thanks opnce again to and for allowing me to Join you and Race. Great Stuff !! Regards, Stewart | |

| Great race everyone. Saw a lot of good, clean competition out there. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Can't wait for October!!
One question if someone might help me. I use the "Kill N2K3" method for disconnects and it seems to take far longer than what most of you are apparently using. I was watching disconnects and saw that the time between seeing the "Driver X has manually disconnected" and "Driver X has connected" messages in the in-sim chat averaged in the 5 to 10 seconds range. Mine took almost a minute! The "Kill N2K3" works almost instantaneously, as advertised. The sim closes and there is the GTP Launcher. It's when I hit "START" in the GTP Launcher that it takes FOREVER for the sim to restart ... 44 seconds in this race!!
So I'm wondering what the secret is for quick disconnects/reconnects like I saw in this race. Any advice would be appreciated. | |

| Hey Rich,..Yes That Hs Often Been an Issue for me in the Past. Although Kill NR2003 seems to be as you say Almost Instantaneous. By Holding down CNTRL and hetting the "-" key on the Numeric Keypad, 5 times,..or is it 6 ?,..lol It actually Leaves the game Instantly and does so Very Cleanly. It IS The Preferred method from Within the GTP Mod Cheers | |

| About my race : I was quite surprised how fast I learnt the track considering I made my first 5 laps on this track 2 hours before the race and wasnt able to complete a lap without spinning in the Stadium. I crashed in quali and started from the back Clean start, many guys let me pass, thanks for that And i quickly made my way up to the lead of the race. Jerry even open the door to give me the lead I was leading, but Alex was catching me fast, when i spun at the second chicane and when my spotter told me there was some engine problem because of a very light contact with the tire barrier i just retired, didnt wanted to run 2 hours with a slow car and anyway I would have had to quit to start a rFactor server later. Just wanted to apologize to a Jaguar driver, i think it was Doug, when I spun at the Stadium hairpin and rejoined the track dangerously just in front of him. I thought I had enough time to rejoin before you came, but that wasnt the case That was fun anyway, congrats to everybody who finished the race and to Alex for the win

| Thanks a lot for congratulations! This was my first victory in major international GTP event, so I'm very happy Obviously, I had an advantage at this fast circuit, because I drove the best car, but it is a nice feeling to win nevertheless. It was a bit tough to drive all the race alone, because my teammate Aleks Simonov went to birthday party and wasn't able to drive tonight; my ass was pretty sore after some 2 hours and 20 mins of driving See you next time! | |

| Congratulaitons #63 for the win and the #13 and #2 for the podium finishes. Fun race while it lasted guys. From the back, everyone I saw gave plenty of room and the little 3 car shootout with the #8 and #62 was fun. Three different chassis at about the same speed. Thats when your format here really makes it fun and challenging. Thanks Frank and Soriano for keeping it clean, and fast. See you all next time at Donnington. Thanks HSO for hosting. We will be re-recording all or some of the event and I'll post a link when done. A successful event I think. Let's have more. | |
