[quote="Alberto Ibañez Yes details like the wheel rotation which is custom for each car in that game. AMS adds some lines to most files (Car, tires, engine) that provide those extra functions. There is also the turbo simulation, which will be relevant for the USAC cars. quote]
Nevermind, thank you anyway I was asking about tyres, because i'm very pleased about what i've tried in AMS so far. Feedback on my old G25 is stronger than in any other sim i've driven, tyres feel more "alive" than in rF, it really makes a very good impression. So i was wondering if this AMS feeling will show in original rF mods converted to AMS.

According to Ricardo, the FF is improved in AMS when comparing the same mod yes. This is because of the plugíns and changes that AMS has done to the original ISI engine. You should expect the F1 71 cars to be quite good in that regard, and superior to the rF version.

Another thing I can tell you, to make the waiting even more painful is that the cars are way better than the Formula classics in AMS, much more progressive and convincing to 4-wheel slide

F1 1991 was a big pain in the ass for me, a trip further 20 years back in time is very welcome from my point of view

It's really tight now, and our priority is finishing the basic debugging/deglitching of the mod for release so that people can start testing cars ASAP to make their choices. Wether that is with some unofficial fun event or simply with an open server for people to test (Most likely), we will see. The dates don't help much either, with people being busy in Xmas with family, etc.
We still have to make the final 2018 calender public (Likely in Xmas), but one thing I can advance is that we will likely be starting the year with a GS open, and CanAm will come after that. F1 will be the last championship to start.
So that means that the race dates on the main site are preliminary? Just curious and eager. My main mission for 2018 will be the Can-Am series, and maybe to give the Coyote a chance for retribution on the big ovals.
I for one really appreciated the application process for the CART '88 series, rather than the first-come-first-serve process we've had for other series. Knowing how good the McLaren's were, I guess they will be applied for...?

No the dates on the site are good , but the GS open dates can increase. I am not yet sure if we might open the year on the 7th with some fun or even GS race.

On a general basis there will be no first come first serve for the initial distribution of the cars at any series. We will work similarly as with CART88, and for allocating the cars that later come available/vacant we have come up with a much simplified procedure.

So from now HSO's own chimpansee will attribute the cars to waiting drivers.

So there is a new way of selecting cars for the championship? Is it gonna be like a raffle or something? I realize if you put the fastest guys in the McLaren it's just gonna be a race between the two but how much really separates the cars? Is the McLaren that dominant over the other cars.??

From the Can-Am rules we have drawn up
Once the entry list is opened (Date TBD), drivers will list their top three full-time selections (in order of preference). They can change them any time, but only the latest post will be taken into account. On (Date TBD), the admins will assign drives based on the choices made, taking into account which combinations will yield the best attendance and tightest competition. Drivers must be realistic in their choices, because the admins reserve the right to refuse any car for a driver deemed to fast for it or if of unknown sim racing level. This limitation will also apply to cars that become free during the series.
