No! Not condoned, but just suggesting that people set the PLR file so they are not trapped in the pits forever while their crew spit shines the car.

8 on dirt that year(?). If my perforated memory serves be correctly, the birth of Nascar was on Daytona beach. Only way they could do corners..........run Mick, run....damn, I can't.

10-4. The clarification sounds better.
Good advice on the crew adjustment though. No idea why I've never bothered to do that. So many times I've had superficial damage that wasn't affecting the car....annnnd, I forgot to turn the repairs off. Blah.
I'd much rather have to turn them on. Thanks again for that!

HSO became a first thing you check in the morning. At least in my case. But not so much for car booking as for the general infos.. birthdays, videos, race comments.. car booking
However, I missed this thread, I was so occupied with Cart that when I noticed, half the field was allready booked. It is nice to see so many people enjoy this kind of hanging out!

Problem with the damned southern accent is, unlike some that aren't tongue tied to it, it's hard to fake NOT having it. It always bleeds through. Just sounds rather odd, especially via a mic on broadcast or whatnot.

Maybe we should give up the cars and git in the booth and do the race ala the Waltrips, the Jarrets, Sadler, Burton, Baker, et.al. But I won't do my favorite moron, Larry McReynolds. That's just jibberish. And any of those guys know more about what they're saying than Page, Unser, Goodyear or Cheever in the open-wheelers.
By the way, here's a primer on the variety of Suthin Accents:

The Late Great Tim Wilson...
Scott could probably attest that I do Not sound Southern, BUT, when I moved from Southern to Northern Indiana....Ok let's be more specific, when I went from Southern Central Indiana to Northern Central Indiana...I dunno how many people asked me where I was from for the first 2 years I lived up here. Apparently, I have a bit of a twang when I speak. What made it all the more remarkable was that for those 2 years I was living in Lafayette...the Home of Purdue...
Some useful information since this will likely be a door-banging session:
To make the crew not repair damage find the following line in your .PLR file. Smart Pitcrew="1" Change it to Smart Pitcrew="0"
Thanks a lot Jason. This is what i was looking for. I had a lot of races which was ruined due to i forgot to deactivate the repairs.

Having driven a few laps yesterday, I think there will be a lot of door banging and most of it involuntary. Breakdown trucks and panel beaters will have a field day with Turn 3.
