Well, i think the main problem is that this "lag" problem is not something consistant, at least in my case..

For me, all worked well until last start, and then all went to hell.. cars dissapearing etc...

So, was it on my end? I dont know since all sessions up until now (and in other series) worked fine..

I suggest, if there is any rF connection settings that could be manualy set up, and that are in common to all of us, maybe you post here the parameters, so we at least annulate that (but Im far from expert in this, so maybe this what I said is bollocks)..

Once again, we shouldnt acusse anybody too easy, it is very difficult and hard call to bail out being 100% sure it is your and only yours fault.. I speak in my behalf, before all.. giveing up, on event like this, without being sure why, it is very hard..

Maybe, just maybe, it would be wise to make a short, but must-attend test race prior to the real thing (wasnt I anoying you with this in Cart1998???) just to see how things are resolving..

And finaly, as much as I know you think its waste of time, Jason, Richard, Alberto, Ben, and all involved, dont look at it that way.. Its frustrating, for us "consumers" and Im sure 10000 times more for you, but after all, we hanged out, had some parade laps, and I had fun.
Once again, I had really big nervous butterflys in my stomach (specialy after being pointed out as a critical driver scratch ), and that is the main thing Im here among all of you.. I hope it can put some comfort to you..
And thank you for that.. I love you! :langue:

See you on track soon!

Everybody just needs to calm the hell down, wait about 24 hours before posting something you'll regret.

The Race has been postponed so whatever happened during this aborted attempt means nothing.

Bruno you did hit several cars, on your end though it was probably fine. But it wasn't.

We will be posting in the future regarding when we shall run this race.

Thank you.

Pay attention Matthew Hull, because my car was not damaged any time and for me, I did not hit anyone. You sure it was me that hit you?
You were leaving a queue behind me.

I think several people can verify that it was you who plowed through the field.

I looked at the replay and it certainly looked like your car.

Okay, it would be interesting if someone confirmed this, because my car did not suffer any damage.

If you guys think you are disappointed by this evening, you should try being an admin in this situation.

We're not going solve this tonight, and we will need to take a step back when we aren't so hot and look at the situation.  In the meantime, let's refrain from arguing about it on the forum -- or at least confine messages of that type to PMs.

Thank you.

If I hit someone, I apologize, because I did not suffer any damage in my car and I positioned myself at the end of the grid just to avoid accidents.
I have a fiber optic internet with a speed of 200mb and I do not think the problem was only with who was from Brazil. I saw participants from europe claiming the same problems.
I've been participating in several races here and on other servers outside Brazil and I've never had connection problems.

As Jason said, lets let things cool down.. everybodys ichy now, but finaly, no progress in that.
You can only provoke some tensions which are not needed.. Nobody needs it now..
The only real damage is hours of preparations admins took to make this race happen (and other races), so we should really let them run the word! And give them support.
Everything other than that leads nowhere...

Kinda happy we're done for tonight. Wasn't fun at some point anymore. I don't mind the fact it usually takes more than one attempt until we get the big races going, but this time was a complete farce, and I was about to call it a day, if the admins hadn't already decided to pull the plug. Did we even have a full lap under green? Evil or Very Mad

Nonetheless, I appreciate all the team's efforts, and hope we can finish this off some day. To bad about all the work that went into it. Still I'm pretty miffed right now...

...BTW, what was going on at the first start? Everything looked fine, except for Ben not pulling away?

That was the issue, Some people started racing and chaos ensued. Crashes happened.

Well, there was a crash at T1 I was involved in, but it was not my fault, I swear!!! Somebody from ROW 3 or 4 lost the car and collected few of us.. And we (row 4-5) started to race after GREEN LIGHT was showed, so I think there was no problem with that, unless GREEN LIGHT was not the code name for punching it!

Yeah the pace car forgot to pull in and then we still got the signal to go green.

Not everyone had lag. We acknowledge that and knew that. The issue was some people had lag and were as a result crashing into others. Such as when cars just drive through the field crashing into people. In their screen all is okay, but obviously they have had lag.

I had non, but saw several cases of people who did.

Exactly. Nobody did anything intentionally or even by negligence - there was huge lag for some people and cars appeared and dissapeared intermitently. A different matter is if those people should have quit instead of sticking to a situation that was bound to cause problems.

There are several reasons that might have caused this weird lag, we will investigate. The internet attacks in the previous week for sure have not helped, the server OS might have been autopatching or doing who knows what.

For me, it was like in Phoenix. Laggy with a full field of cars, but not with those cars who were nearest to me. So those I was bound to battle, no problems. And whenever the field would get decimated, all would be fine. At Phoenix, it was fine when the field got down to about 21-22 cars.

However, I've seen that kind of lag before with any other mod, here or at other leagues. F1 1978, BTCC and so on, no problems whatsoever.

Just to be clear, I didn't forget to pit, there was a misunderstanding about numbers of formation laps that I had to do in order to let enough time to drivers who got a penality, to purge it and join back their rows before the green flag.
