Yes it happened to me yesterday evening a several times. Sometimes after a small touches with the wall. A bit dangerous for the race.
Welcome to Indy! Here's a tip: Stay off the wall!
Slinging the tail out into the wall does one of two things. It either deflates the right-rear, or bends the rear suspension in a way that lets the right-rear corner drop. Both bad! That lets air under the nose of the car and the ground-effects tub and leads to the colorful aerobatics.

Yes Scott in case of damage of the suspension i understand what should happen but when i knocked the wall yesterday the car wasnt damaged so in this case dont know what happened. And in the video from Phillipe is also not visible any big contact with the barrier which could cause any damage.

Don't hit the wall. Give yourself more room, especially in a straight line.

+1 I tried to do a long testrun on the server a few days ago...was trying to drive safely but at lap 41 a slight error resulted in flipping over an destroying my car...forget about your racepace the first 100 laps...try to survive it and let others make the mistakes! ....after that it gets even harder: you must try to go faster AND STILL keep your concentration going for another 100 laps

Other fact i use small downforce pressure in rear wing, and probably I touch the wall and my car ''takeoff''

Also remember that, if you graze the wall down the straightaway, the right-front can try to climb the wall making the front of the car bounce letting air underneath.

When I do the run and I wave it off, will I return to the track right away or do I have to wait until everyone has done their run before I can try another attempt?

It's like the real thing : everybody must have had a shot at his first run before anyone can have an eventual second attempt .

You have to go to the end of the line (after everyone else runs). But qually session time is a huge factor and there might not be enough after getting all of those registered through the first time.

Jari has car 1 so theoretically he has the most chance to make a second run if the first one fails.

hmmm, with 86C best times 43,5 is on the limit time of best 33 cars, so expectig qulify only with luck and when yes, it seems that race will be very bad (expecting to be lapped every 14-15 laps)

Man if you make the 33 car field, it should be easy for me too, my best times are about 42.6 at the moment but I feel like the 87C can go faster.

Hey guys and gal........
If you take heed of anything I say, let it be this.......
Stay Away From The Walls!!!!!
Especially on the Front Straight! The Speedway has been getting complaints from Indianapolis International Airport.

I am in , haven't had time(or desire) to practice but have got a setup I did during pre-season testing so should be able to hopefully make the field with my Chevy power.
If anyone is wanting to move up the qualifying order I'm happy to move down the order as I'm not a 100% I'll be available at my allotted time, best to post in here if you want to swap and I give admin permission to move me as I won't be able to get on the site till Sunday now.
