Does this mod work with realfeel and leoffb or just standard ffb?

I use realfeel and leoffb and it works right. But you have to pick a car that is for a road course to drive around Sebring obviously.

Did you input all the different stats in order to make it work correctly? I think one needs to dig through all the car files and compile all the numbers to get correct values for the RF and Leo FFB.

leo ffb i only use it under 50kph, so i didnt need to do much. The rest is realfeel all the way, and the default works right.

My RealFeel settings:

Code:
[General]
RealFeelIsOn=True
ConsoleEnabled=False
ConsoleRepeatDelay=0.100000
SpeechEnabled=True
KeyRepeatDelay=0.100000
SteerForceInputMax=11500.000000
MinSpeed=10.000000
DefaultMaxForceAtSteeringRack=-500.000000
DefaultSteeringDamper=11500.000000
DefaultFrontGripEffect=0.000000
DefaultSmoothingLevel=2
VehicleDelimiterSize=64
DefaultKf=4000.000000
DefaultKs=7.000000
DefaultA=1.500000
DefaultKr=3.000000

At first I had DefaultMaxForceAtSteeringRack at 500 positive. That made the steering feel inverted. To invert the steering in game, press Right Control and 8 no the numpad.

My wheel is set at 900 degrees rotation, and I use about 25 degrees steering lock.

All in all, thank you guys so much for this wonderful mod! So much fun to drive!

The March88 is bouncing around, and have a slight rear. Some setup work is needed, but balance can be find. I really like this mod. This will be a perfect CART season :top:

I definitely need to do some setup work, will try some stuff out.

Turn 2 is the bane of my existence at Sebring......

I've only done 5 laps with a near default setup. Do not worry Laughing

Will the server still be on during tonight's 1991 race?

No, we'll be shutting down all other servers until the F1 race is complete.

I got DQ'd for driving the wrong way while trying to turn my car around :p. That kills my session for the evening.

If you join again after the server restarts the session you should be OK.

Unfortunately the server will be closed by then due to the F1 race.

Everyone is different, only you can decide what "Feels right" and wht "Works well"

I use default settings on both, some use no FFB, and others use real feel. Try altering your degrees of rotation and force feedback in both your logitech profiler and rFactor.

I've added info on a couple of little updates that are contained within the mod (for those who don't read the readme). Look in the rules thread.

I use a g27 myself and for this (so far) and the 73 mod I use the RealFeel + Leo's combo. Are you running a modified controller.ini for RealFeel at all? Also what are your Profiler settings
My Profiler
GLOBAL - overall strength= 107%
              spring effect= 0%
              damper effect= 0%
              center spring= 0% but ticked
Do not allow game to adjust settings
then
GAME SETTINGS - overall= 100%
                          spring= 0%
                          damper= 0%
                          center spring= 0% but ticked
Allow game to adjust settings.
I also use 450 degrees of rotation.
Also I am using the full Leo's plugin and use leo's FFB Tuner to quickly adjust my settings.

Here's a link to the plugins, settings and controller I use in my game. If you load the controller just remap you buttons or look and copy the FFB entries at least to your controller.ini.my setup

Thanks already! :top:

As I seem to have copied files that were for the '82 F1 mod, I am not sure which files I actually need to keep and influence the handling.

How many files that are part of realfeel(and leo) are there?

I am now getting very confused when checking the files in my '91 install scratch

Generally, can somene give ma run-down of which file is where and what name it has(for both realfeel and leo if possible)?

I might delete some unneeded stuff from my '91 folder too(if it's a file I don't really need)

Do you intend to use the leo plugin or the Realfeel with leo's added. I use realfeel 1.9.3.6 and the leo plugin. saying that your files should be as follows
folder -> file
rfactor -> realfeelplugin.ini
rfactor/plugins -> LeoFFB.dll
LeoFFB.ini
RealFeelPlugin.dll

Curious to know what your profile strength and in game strength are? I'm using -1800 as a starting point for and still find the FFB pretty strong. In game I use FFB strength at 100% with the controller.ini isolated values for Realfeel.

Both of them added together like FD recommended from the '82 F1 mod. But there are now several files I am not sure if they are even doing something or I just copied them for whatever reasons.

I seem to have got:

Main root folder(F1 1991):

LeoFFB_F1 1982_LE_
RealFeelPlugin
RealFeelPlugin_38_(not sure anymore what the 38 corresponded to)
RealFeelPlugin_38_Negative_Force_
RealFeelLog

Not sure if dsetup.dll was created afterwards, just like the log.

Plugins:

LeoFFB.dll
RealFeel..dll
RealFeel.dll

Not sure what or why there's two, must have forgotten since season start :doh:

Seems like some files are in the wrong place?

Really enjoy what little I have tried from the mod so far. Feels great, now if I could just get myself use to this layout of Sebring. Don't think I've ever drivin anything other than the 24hr layout. Keep wanting to go straight when I should be turning lol

I take it you are hiding file extensions on your computer. Without knowing if the files are .ini's or not I'd be inclined to think those are suggested values to put into your RealFeelPlugin.ini text file. The RealFeelPlugin file would be the one the plugin uses, The RealFeelPlugin_38 would be suggested values if you are using RealFeel v1.9.3.8 with an ingame FFB + , while the RealFeelPlugin_38_Neg_Force would be suggested values if in game FFB is set to -ive value.

The game is only using the RealFeelPlugin. You should be able to open all those with notepad to read them. If you right click on the RealFeelPlugin.dll and select properties you should be able to find the version you are using. The *_38 files are just for reference and not needed. The log file I believe is created when you enable the console of RealFeel so that isn't needed as well

dsetup is created by your wheel I believe and IS Needed :D

Edit: So you have no LeoFFB.ini in your plugins folder just the .dll? The LeoFFB_F1 1982_LE_ I would assume is the values for that mod that should be in the LeoFFB.ini file

They are all classified as "configuration files" so I guess they are all ini files(I can open them all with the editor) :hum:

Well Chris, I am an idiot. I can drive fast, but until I get there, I fail terribly Rolling Eyes

I don't even know which RealFeel version I have drunken
