And during one practice run last night I could see it.  But for the majority of my time there the wall is only one color, an off-white with some dots. There are also tire marks that I don't see.  I have what I think is an adequate Graphics card (Nvidia GTX-1050 TI).  I changed all the display settings within rFactor to their highest setting.  But no color change.  I left the track and closed down rFactor but same problem when I returned. It's the same on-line and off-line. I just recently installed this graphics card and probably don't have it tweaked very far, but I do have the correct driver for my computer (Win10 Home 64-bit).
This wall color change is very helpful with these cars.  What settings do I need to change?

Alter the Frames to render ahead to 1 in 3d settings in Nvidia software, default is 2 that should help :D
im getting 780 fps here with everything on full so its not demanding on graphics.

found same with 1 frame ahead , saved my effort in F1 1991, and wrote here a weaks ago

I made the above change. Went into rFactor and the wall was still only one color. Made a few other changes that had no effect. Started an on-line practice session. As I did my laps I noticed that the 2nd wall color was gradually showing up. And by the end of 50 laps the 2nd color was about as dark as I remember from the night before. Very strange. Will be interesting to see what it looks like today.

The race will be run with local yellows only.

I take this to mean that there will be no full course yellows with a pace car. And I have seen that having full course yellows has been problematic. My question as a relative new comer around here is what type of behavior do you expect from the drivers when they see a flag man waving a yellow flag. Do we slow down for the corner even if we don't see anybody sitting sideways in the racing line? I've seen plenty of drivers ignore local yellows because the software is slow to end a local yellow and the track is clear.

Just use the yellow flags as a warning that there may be an accident ahead, so be careful when you seem them.

Regarding the wall "color" change.....I noticed that too as I was using it as a marker......Session restarts and it is gone. I believe it is to do with the position of the sun casting a shadow?

Yes, BoB. It's the proverbial question of the hero and the horse's ass. If you see a yellow and charge in . . . . Making it through makes you a hero! Slamming into something after you've been warned makes you the horse's ass! Just look in the "racing dictionary" under Rusty Wallace, Steven Wallace, or any of the Andretti family.

In regards to the differing shades on the outside wall: If it is not a reliable reference for braking (which it is obviously NOT), you need to run more laps until you find a reliable reference! Do not get fixated on that minor difference in wall shading. If you can't see it ALL THE TIME, it is not reliable and you need to find something else.

Jonaton and I only offered up the shading reference because we could see it and were using it. But, if you are in a crowd, it is tough to pick out through the other cars. Besides, depending on your strategy, fuel usage, and tire wear, it (or any other reference) will never be an exact braking marker for more than one lap! Otherwise, you will be braking or lifting a tick earlier or later based on your car's performance.

Good luck!

I'm releasing my car.

Lack of time and motivation to practice unfortunately.

Best of luck to all on Sunday  :top:

These cars certainly are very interesting to drive, but also difficult.

Should I make amendements to my Logitech Profiler for it, like steering lock and rotation to get the most out of this mod?

maybe other know better, but im using the same as f1 91. these cars only reward slow, smooth inputs. when i take it easy its great, as soon as i try to go faster i go slower ;P

And your settings are?

I tried, both with full and empty(OH LORD) tank, but doing 32's seems impossible right now.

320° rotation and lock about 9 here.

As cars are the same in performance, I guess the setup would also fit for all cars?
