Oh god, I can barely watch their Super GT coverage with those two guys they signed as commentators... wish Let's Go Racing(formerly the Nismo Channel) would have it.

Went to the track yesterday to have a look at the new cars. Top 8 were consistently within a second of each other over the odd qualifying/ practice sessions they were running. No problems following closely it would seem. The weather wasn't ideal. Cold and wet then sunny on a rotating schedule (standard Melbourne weather 😁)
Sound great, look pretty good (yes the nose looks a little silly but in general as a package it looks fine) They had 3 classic formula 5000 cars parked there and there is absolutely no comparison in what looks better but we need safely and the like so I can deal with it.
The classic style Hoosier tyres they were on seemed quite hard and the starts were a bit of a slip fest but they all got away fine.
There is positive feedback suggesting they will get plenty more entrants which will be fantastic if true.
I'm pretty cynical when it comes to modern racing but these things look like they could be the real deal.

Also hold onto your hats these guys are going to Bathurst December 2020.
If they can get a strong field by then Conrod straight will be epic. If the aero is right there will be some interesting moves through the chase. Good mechanical grip and low aero will be fantastic there.

Thanks for the info Sam. I'm hoping to catch up with the racing on youtube or somewhere.

Watched the Feature Race on motorsport.tv.

They had to red flag it after Davison went into the barriers hard and bent them.

The leader(Marcow?) went off after one restart and got stuck in the gravel.

Barrichello finished 2nd.

Looks promising. I still wish they'd increase the size of the Air box.
