Popps Packing Pinewood Derby III

The third Popps Pinewood Derby took place in Hamtramck, Michigan last night (a small enclave inside Detroit). 
One HSO regular was in the field -- yours truly    With a replica of the 1968 STP Oil Treatment Special #70.  



I actually did pretty good; 2nd place in the lightweight division.  The field was full of wild, zany cars that some of you may find amusing or humorous.  Check out my gallery on flickr; videos of some of the races are included!

although i prefered the beautiful Blitzen Benz

Thanks Carl! Yes, I was glad to beat Spanish Fly. I think that was a not-so-subtle jab at Bill Cosby. The Blitzen Benz had all manner of paint issues; this one did too, but I was much happier with the end result.
