From what I've been able to find, after a little bit of research, it's very likely to be a Skoda shell with Holden components and, possibly, some BMC components as well considering the BMC on the numberplate but that is speculation, not fact.

But it is a magnificent find indeed


EDIT:

After more research, the Skoden is a Australia Special, as in it was built for Australia specifically similarly to that of the Elfin's, using a new Fibreglass Body and used components from an allready existing car.

So the Skoden is one of those, probably running BMC and/or Holden components underneath, built for Sports Car racing in the late 50's by Keith Malcolm (I think).

But indeed, it is a very rare, but splendid, find

Sadly the car was written off, by the looks of things, at Oran Park in 1966 after contact with a Buckle Coupe

Ca c'est de la voiture de course J'adore Bugatti mais il faut toujours nuancer cette histoire de "1000 victoires en course" qui a pour origine des posters publicitaires de la marque à l'époque. Ce terme de 1000 victoires ne signifie pas comme on le croit souvent que la T35 a remporté 1000 courses, mais plutôt 1000 premières places au sens large. Parmi ses 1000 succès il y a bien entendu des dizaines de victoires scratch, parmi lesquelles beaucoup de Grands Prix et autres courses majeures. Mais il y a surtout des centaines de victoires de catégorie et/ou de classe, et une foule de records de vitesse, discipline très prisée dans les année 20 et 30. Tout ça a été amalgamé à l'emporte pièce par les publicitaires de la marque (toutes les marques le faisait d'ailleurs en ce temps-là) pour que ce soit plus parlant au yeux du public. Voilà c'était juste pour pinailler en passant . Bugatti FTW !!!
