Nope, just play 'arcade battles' like me and make sure only to use mouse & keyboard. Do not try to use a Joystick in 'arcade' because a mouse is more accurate while aiming. Also...make sure you know the assigned buttons for 'looking behind' because there alway be an enemy on your tail

IL-2 is more hardcore and will cost you money to buy. War Thunder has 3 modes: Arcade, Historical and Realistic flightmodels. Soon War Thunder 'Tanks' will come available and all for free. Probably in a year from now War Thunder 'Fleets' will see daylight.

Pilots and tankers!
We are pleased to announce the release of the War Thunder Update 1.41 that makes Ground Forces available for everyone to play! In order to add tanks to your hangar just go to the “Army” tab in the “Research” menu and purchase them the same way as you would do with the aircraft.

| I played in the early alpha then beta strictly in realistic mode. Was very fun. Once I got the other guy to bleed off his speed things usually end with a nice sweep across the tail and much smoke then dirt napping.
Was a pain in the ass to get the Mustang A unlocked but once I did life got real good.
Your screenshots indicate things have gotten even better!

I own everybody, i mean everybody, almost always Nr 1 and "terror of the sky", "punisher" blabla.... Tier 2 i swear, Russian La-5 is boss, or the English Spitfires (but they have an ammo problem, La-5 has 340 rounds baby)Upgrade your machine guns and cannons with new ones, better accuracy, put guns at 500m crossing over, believe me, no one does it at tier 2, they wont stand a change, oh and keep this a secret pls. Going to 3 and 4 to get those damned jets researched
