Norton Anti-Virus' lastest update adds a reputation filter that looks at files and if it does not have them listed it will quarantine them. This locked up my GIDplugin.dll file into quarintine for every install I have of the plugin. Go into the performance menu on Norton, find the quarantined files and restore them. GID Plugin cranked up normally afterwards.

Norton... Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad ...much suck sometimes!

Norton is a virus.

Once, a mate had a brand new fast computer with Norton installed. It could barely start, it took like 5 minutes to get it started. I removed (not uninstalled, it wasn't possible...) Norton, and then it was running like a charm :yaa:

After having tried AVG, Avast, Norton et al I decided some years ago I didn't need an anti-virus. Life is sweeter without those bloody things, I tell ya ^^
