My first race, did ok in qualy, and in race my engine blew on first lap, went off as well and lost my front wing..

See you guys on the next one! Hope you had a better race than me

Your engine probably overheated on the grid. Having keys set to stop and restart the engine is always useful

Started 12th, I finish 5th. Some littles mistakes, like a hazardous entry on the track just in front of Leo. Sorry for this move Leo, your care saved us.  
A nice ballet with Philou in the first turn. Like in the greatest choreography, we did a step of two before to go out of the track.  
I'm happy for my 5th pos, still 2 points in my purse.

Was surprised to get pole   Had an okay race, Few mistakes. Mainly outbraking myself at the end of the back straight. But the clipped the wall on the start finish straight and lost my wing and bent the suspension   . So tried hanging on to 4th instead of pitting, And was able too by just 1 second I believe over Ben . Great racing as always at HSO.

Thanks for setting up, Well done to Ruben for the win, Well done to Podium and well done to all the finishers as it was a tough race.

Première fois que je casse un moteur sur cette Lola...

Faut dire que j'avais "un peu tapé" dans la voiture de Jim (very sorry Jim, its my fault... ), que je rattrapais, après mon retour-bureau (oui cela continu...  )... Le moteur avait peut-être morflé, je sais pas?

C'était une demie-course assez galère, après ce satané retour-bureau, puis l'arrêt aux stands pour changer l'avant... J'espère que je n'ai pas trop gêné les pilotes par mon acharnement alors que j'avais 2 tours de retard...

No prob, Philippe. You were clearly faster than me, and at that point I didn't want you to think I was going to fight you going into turn 1. So I backed off gradually at the end of the front straight to give you a clean overtake on the inside. I guess part of your quicker lap times was entry into T1. My earlier braking point caught you unexpectedly. I was glad to see you were able to carry on after that. I was just glad I didn't do anything stupid to take out someone else or take myself out. I'm looking forward to more races. Unfortunately I'll have to miss the next one. Then I can get in on the beginning of the next series. I saw some impressive racing. Just finishing this race was a feat! Most of the starters did. I'm impressed. Some close racing too.

Mathematically yes, but I 'd say it's between you and Ruben  

(If we finish like that once more, Ruben will be champion  )

I had high hopes when I got into the lead, I was looking for my 3rd HSO win. But our youngster didn't let me have it  

I got held up by Ben and Gerard, he apparently didn't see me and nearly ran me into the wall when he let Gui through on the inside  

I lost quite a bit of time there to Rubens so he was able to close up quickly.

In the closing stages, I was surprised how little Ruben had to cope with tyre wear, I had no chance and only just made it past the finish line ahead of Gui.

But it was a good and exciting race  

@Richard: Sorry that I didn't let you through, but you were 4th, nearly a lap behind Gui who was only about 4s behind. If I had been alone, fair enough, but I had my hands full trying to keep Gui at bay, so I didn't feel like moving over.

Had a pretty average race by my standards; the start was thrilling though!  Was up from 10th to 6th by the first corner, but then I got a bit sloppy at the chicane and went into a slide. Chris Bolin gave me a little love tap as a result (sorry man) and I ended up in the grass. Came around in 8th, so I was still in positive territory. Unfortunately, that tap came back to haunt me when I pitted for tires mid race. Damn pit crew was set to repair the body, so I lost a full lap and 8th place to Mr. Ryon   Next time I will have those hot keys mapped! Immediately set off to get back on the same lap as Gérard (the fresh tires made this a lot easier), but I didn't have enough laps left to mount a challenge.  9th place, so not a rip roaring success.  But the engine held together, so good tonic going into the finale.

Well I'm a bit disapointed because my strategy didn't work.

With the 2 very hard long right handers I knew the left tires would suffer a lot and I would struggle for grip at the end of the race. So I went flat out right from the start, with the intention to pit around mid race. That worked pretty well as I pitted in lap 41 with a 12s gap over Ruben.
What I didn't plan was to overshot my pit box by 10 meters I lost a lot of time there, maybe the time that I missed at the end but well ...

Nice race!

I had a good start and gained a couple places. Soon the faster guys passed me and at mid race I had a good gap to the next cars in front and behind. Always managing engine and tires I found myself in 6th place when Frank pited and rejoined the track some 20 seconds behind me. He was closing fast with around 20 laps left.

 

I uped my pace but he kept closing in fast as I was managing trafic and being laped. A few mistakes here and there, but I guess he had some of his own that allowed the race for the last point go to the last lap.

 

By 0.190s I got it!

Sorry i didn't make it i meant to post something the day before but forgot. I will try to make the next one i just had other things come up.

No problem at all David,You were under no obligation to let me past. i was hoping to get past in the hope you and Ruben may have to pit again, But wasn't to be i was happy with 4th from pole.

Think im becoming a bit of a qualifying specialist in this series, 2 poles from 3 races  

Need to work on my race pace and consistency
