Breaking the speed of sound :D

Okay, might be worth checking the other cars aswell. I guess it's only a fix per car make, not per livery since there's one car model for all liveries of each car.

It's fun, although these corners come closer quickly... :aie:

Yeah first time I tested it I thought that I had mapped by error to my gas pedal the "fast forward" button ... Cool

Nothing about the strange brake/head lights? When the lights lit up at the Sauber, they were rather far away from the car.

If you know how to correct it, feel free to offer your help instead of repeating the same things again and again Wink

David repeated it only once so I don't think this qualifies for "repeating again and again". Razz

Do you have a screenshot David ? I'm not sure I understand what you mean.

Patch 1.03 added in first post, it fixes the rear instability at high speed. It quite changes the behaviour of the car so you might want to give it a try if you didn't like the car before that Wink
The patch includes patches 1.01 and 1.02.

Changes from v1.0 :

- Fixed rear instability at high speed
- Reduced tire heating (for all tires compound)
- Fixed #15 Richard Lloyd Racing Porsche tachometer
- Fixed #88 Primus Porsche window
- Improved collision box
- Fixed head and rear lights
- Reduced fuel consumption for the Jaguar XJR-8

Hello ! I want to say THANKS  ! because I love these cars and I think this MOD is amazing, really enjoyable, difficult and realistic.

I downloaded it last week and I can't stop driving, I tried every car and started to learn each one. Today I was trying to modify the Jag's sound (trying to make it more realistic) using a youtube video as sourse but the result wasn't good.

This video

I have two questions about headlights. The first one is about the range of the headlights. I don't know how they were is real life, but in the MOD I can't see very far. It looks dangerous for a long distance event.

The second one, is about a black part in front of the cars when you use headlight. It's an error or may be is my video cars?

Regards
Damian

I'll answer for the headlights.
The bright flare is a plane I had to place at the source of the light. Since the car body is curved there, that plane has to cross the car body. To sum up, not much I can do :smil20:

I understand.....if you put the source of the light forward it will appears as floating in front of the car. Its a pity because the light effect looks great !

EDIT: and if you put a second small light forward just to light the front of the car? you know, like a lens effect.

something like this

With regards to the sounds. Damian, do not waste time on completion of sounds. Sounds prototypes thoroughly updated to the high quality of the project WSPC 1990.
With regards to the beam. To make the effect of the light the more correct I think it should be in Material Edit unmark the Glass.

Vadim, you're looking at shaders settings of a shader not supported by 3D SimEd. But if you think you can improve the looks of the lights, the author is on the ISI forums.

Indeed the effect(shaders) of light works only when this option is enabled glass, but it also is the cause of the penetration of light into the texture of the body of the car. I'll try to sort out the problem and if I find a solution, be sure to tell you about it.
By the way JP Campmajo you are working with shaders quite right, all matter in the models prototypes. During their modeling and texturing was admitted a number of very serious mistakes. From here and such incidents.

Thanks for the link Guillaume ! I'm in

There are plans to add more cars to the MOD as the Nissan or Toyota? Upgrades to the car, as Le Man's style tails, no covers for the Jag's rear wheels, or more CK configurations for other Porsches?

I know I know...Im asking too much Very Happy

I really like the actual idea of three different Porsche performance ( 2.8 to 3.0), it gives a great way to balance the grid.

The 1987 mod is finished as we can not add any more cars (we are working with the cars converted from F1Challenge), but yes there are plans to add another season later this year Wink

I guess that's still Vadim behind the scenes?

Does cannot mean that's how the field was in '87? Well, the mod represents the German championship and not the Global one? or didn't it exist?

I didn't research until now.

Are you still working alone on the "Project C" mod, Vadim?

Reading post #1 gave me all other answers I needed(WSC, IMSA and Supercup participants featured as long as it were Jag, Sauber, Porsche and Lancia) :hihi:
