Sorry for my actions tonight ....

I Spent many hours practicing for this one was happy to be within 1 second of Philipe on the 1st stage ...

When i started the 2nd stage was a little confused to be on the opposite side of the pits which meant i had to turn right
rather than left as i had done in practice offline ... i was not sure which way i was pointing for the start and was worrying about driving down the pitlane the wrong way and getting black flagged ... So i stopped changed the view to see where i was and then got black flagged for not having my lights on in the pits ... I Did not know you could get black flagged for this in the pits ...

I Left the server and came back not sure if that was strictly allowed as i had not actually started the stage , when i came back i was a little fired up after my earlier mistake and feel i have thrown a really good chance away it was going ok and then i cocked up half way through the stage in a place where i had never crashed before so im really p*****d off with myself .... :grrr:

My summary: I survived the hill climbs and thankfully it was dark so nobody could see me. I am sure the fans thought I was the track sweeping truck but were surprised how good my truck/tractor engine sounded. Mr Lamborghini was likely watching the race and was inspired.

The 3rd stage was great. Michael Ryon and 2 others and I were pretty close for the 1st half of the race and kept passing each other when the other 2 or 3 went off track due to error. In the end we spread out for some reason. I think the deep sand may have had a hand it that.

That 2nd hill climb is now forgotten...NEVER want to see it again! I wish I had time to practice the 1st one, that one looked fun.

I watched David J have a very bad 1st turn in stage 1, sorry to see that man. Was looking forward to seeing you run well in stage 3.

Edit: and thank you again Antoine and HSO!

Encore une petite soirée bien sympa! :top:

Not sure if I want to continue, even if it's for fun. I got some leagues that finish soon which I should practice for.

But thank you anyway for your encouragement Mike.

Encore une belle soirée Very Happy

A mercredi Wink

A summary of stages 4-5 and 6:

Stage 4: A chaotic start from 14th at Magny Cours, due to its very tight nature i didn't make places at the start, it was tough in the traffic but at midrace i was in the top 5, with Greg and David not far away.
After some good racing and some bumps here and there and Greg's spin i was 2nd, i thought JP was uncatcheable with a 15s lead, i tried at least to shrink it a little bit, i got some luck when he blew up with 5 to go Wink

Bugatti was a perfect 25 lap run on a track not really suited to the Porsche bounce

Stage 5: Climbed to 11th in the standings, i struggled quite a lot at Monthlery, not only because of the Porsche power deficit but also the extreme setup i made for super-fast tracks didn't work there, it was sliding in the flatout kinks in the middle of the straights!
After some scary moments i still managed a decent 4th Wink

At Nivelles it was the best racing of the Tour so far, in the first laps a pack of different cars with me,David in the Ferrari, Antoine in the 2.8 Porsche, JP in the 2.4 Porsche, Yves in the Vette and Franck in the Pantera were all battling for the lead!
I had to risk a lot in the fast chicanes to get past and get some gap before the long straight, i took about half the race to get the decisive gap, from then it was a matter of doing fast laps until the end :top:

Stage 6: The first of the 2 deciding stages of the Tour, so i practiced quite a lot compared to the previous ones.
I could get a good time at Alsace, just 6 tenths off my best in practice, which gave me the first rally stage win :top:

Klausenpass is one of the most difficult stages, i had to balance risks and speed to get to the end and with a good time, i got a decent 5:06 something, enough for another win :top:

At Dijon i made a bad mistake at the first corner, i lost the rear of the car and restarted last.
With a flatout and error-free run i got up to 2nd, i should be way up in the standings now after the 1st stage disappointment, can't wait for the next one :top:

Grats Vincent !

hi, thanks antoine and hso for organising...i finished the first stage, and finished maybe 3 quarters of the second stage, then in a hairpin, i seemed to find myself fixed in a ditch, unable to move...so i gave up the ghost.

pity that as dijon is my favorite track with the porsche....was hoping to just to finish the first two stages and have a blast drifting around the back half of that track..

but, alas, it was not to be...oh look its beer o'clock.
cheers

:conduit:

Wow that was some night. I couldn't figure out why Greg wasn't coming back after Alsace, until I understood that he had retired affraid And I was now in the lead. I was a bit nervous to say the least at Klausenpass, and well I hit a wall and had a puncture  The rest of the stage was a nightmare, fortunately I didn't lose as much time as I thought I would. :urgence:

In Dijon I had a great start and was surprised to find myself with a comfortable lead. I was still a bit nervous though, and spun when Vincent caught me after a few laps. :bangry: Anyway, JP helped me to keep a good rythm, and I could get a few seconds back on Franck's Pantera, so I have a 1mn lead before the last 2 stages. :antoine:

A great pity for Greg who deserved better, hopefully a Martini Porsche still wins the race anyway now :yaa:
